Hard to see the rock for all the seals! Beautiful coastal views and happy wildlife. All along pebble beach coast line. Cormorants, curlews, murres, and Pelicans compete for rock space. Whales breaching in the distance. Well worth a stop.
If you are a tourist, STAY OUT OF PEBBLEBEACH. You pay $ 10 to get in from Carmel, and there is NO public access to anything. There is a tiny vista point near the end of 17-mile drive with a terrible view of the private golf courses and homes that hug the coastline. Waste of time on my California 1 drive.
