Helen is of course a tourist trap. And really hasn’t improved over the last 20 years. It’s an average place with below average food. This BBQ place gets 1 start for being too lazy to update their closing time on Unilocal.I’m not even sure what time they closed — but we’re not open at 5:30pm on a Tuesday.
Don’t get the chili dog. They open a can of Hormel hotdog chili and try to pass it off as «made in-house.» I actually saw the cook get the can off of a shelf. The Hormel on top of the quarter-pound dog is a choke hazard, for real.
