Bowdoin Station is close to the Court House and a short walk to Whole Foods on Cambridge Street. I am saddened to hear that this cozy little station will be closing after the new and improved Government Center Station re-opens. Instead of closing Bowdoin, how about putting in an elevator to make it more…
For every beautifully prominent, architecturally proud station I visit in my journey around the US, I’m baffled and angry when I alight at Penn St in NY, a station not befitting the city it represents.Anyway, South Station represents Boston impeccably.
Honestly? It’s a bit of a mess and the panhandlers by the 7 – 11 are a major nuisance. But it’s a great location and perfectly located for a quick transfer to anywhere in the city.
Freezing to death. I don’t understand this place. You have a roof you have offices, at lease add air conditioners and places to sit in Dunkin donutsThere is no lost and fund in this station. If you lose something on the train, you will have to check with the south station and they do nothing. No parking.
Excellent location, but dingy and gross.Love that I can get from Lowell to the TD or the North End so easily, but otherwise this place is a mess.No cab lane. No direct access to the Green Line without leaving the building. Cold and breezy. Bathrooms are small and dirty.
