I bought assorted Italian cookies to bring to a dinner party. They were pretty to look at, delicious, and reasonably priced. All the guests enjoyed these cookies. Make sure you bring cash, though– they don’t accept credit cards!

I grew up in the neighborhood and everyone knew Amato’s. Back then it was still owned by the Amato family; I’m not sure if that’s still the case. It’s a good local bakery and still going strong. The cakes and pastries are really good.
