What more can I say that hasn’t already been said? Truly an institution and easily the best bar in Long Beach. Incredible bartenders and great drinks. Perfect lighting. No posers, hipsters or other low life forms. Just strong drinks, locals and good company. Shine on, you crazy, crazy bar.

Advice: come for the beers and eat before.Went in for a few beers and some pub. The beers were spot on — cold and from what tasted like a clean tap. The French onion soup was good but the rest of the food was a disappointment and we left most of it on the plate. Flavorless, mushy, poorly prepared frozen food.

John Henry’s American Pub

Worst food in long beach. Bartenders are bothered by your ordering food. They are very determined to explain to you that there are NO servers, so if you need something it’s gonna be a while. Beers were cold, just don’t come hungry.
