Lyell St. haven for blues, funky bartenders and just a damn good time. I haven’t tried the food, and rarely see anyone eating there, but for a great dive bar experience, close to downtown, but oh so far away, this is the spot.
A hole in the wall for sure! Dated, and usually there is only one bartender on staff! Comfortable place to have a drink! You are deff a regular if you go to this bar!
Come for the terrible food and atmosphere. Stay for the food poisoning. Run don’t walk from this place. Got a reuben. Tough as shoe leather with sour krout leftover from the cold war. Place must pay off the health inspector.
Dislikes:–Smoking room (The smoke still leeches out into the rest of the facility)–Difficult to get a drink–always a cover charge–and let those creepy people in that sell flowers from buckets (I hate that!)–terrible food–meat heads!
