Update. The damage to our 70+ year old Cedar tree is now danger of dying. You just can’t disturb 60% of a tree’s root system and leave it all torn up without consequences. Turns out the Star Magnolia was more like 20 years old and although that CAN be replaced, a 70+ year old Cedar cannot be replaced.
