Beaches in Hilton Head Island, SC

This is the only beach that we visit when we stay at Hilton Head. There is plenty of parking, the walk is not too long to get out to the beach, and there is lifeguard staff right at the beach entrance. The restroom are usually clean and well maintained.

Folly Field Beach Park

Gorgeous beach area — wide beach, not crowded, great for long walks. Access is great with the boardwalk leading to a covered pathway suitable for wheel chair access. The parking is great with most metered places in the shade. The restroom is terrific, clean, and with granite counter tops! Spectacular!

Islanders Beach Park

Beach was nice — liked that it was very well maintained and thought out. Had never been to Hilton Head before so was surprised that the sand was so packed so far up the beach. It made for a great easy walk on the beach.

Forest Beach

Fries were good considering they were frozen brand. My burger wasn’t done, and the Long Island ice tea was straight rubbing alcohol (or at least it seemed). Don’t expect much from this place, they could really do a lot with it if they tried since they are right on the beach.

Jamaica Joe’z Beach Bar

I don’t understand this place. You would not even know you are on an island given all the roads, tall trees, stores and everything else blocking the view of the ocean. If you manage to get through all the traffic and mazes of roads finding yourself at the public parking area, you can park and hike several…
