Orton Park

This park is awesome, if you live or work on the East Side. There is a decent disc golf course, and it’s pretty awesome for sledding in the winter. If you are going for disc golf, be ready to pay $ 5 or get an annual pass!

Great park! A nice pavilion, lots of lake shore, frisbee golf course, and fire pits. The location feels secluded from the city and is a neat little area. No pets or glass containers are allowed in Madison parks FYI.

This is a tiny park on the south side of lake Mendota, pretty low key but it has an awesome stone shelter with fire places and an effigy mound to explore. Nice place to watch the sunset.
