It took a bit to find the entrance. It’s on the side of the building near the back. I wasn’t sure whether I was supposed to seat myself or not. There was nothing to suggest either way. They will seat you by the way. It was busy when I arrived so it took a couple minutes to be seated. I was immediately asked if I wanted something to drink though. Coffee arrived, quite watery even for a diner. I’d opt for an oj instead. I only cheeked out the breakfast menu. It’s pretty straight forward and simple. Has all your basics with a few extra Benny’s and skillets. Prices are about what you would expect for a breakfast. The portions are small by diner standards though. I ordered the farmers sausage skillet. Good potato to fixins ration, absolutely no seasoning to speak of however. There seems to be an issue with cooking poached eggs. I ordered medium, and they were not even cooked to soft. The table next to me had the same problem. A bonus for a a mom and pop, they don’t use plastic cups. That was an unexpected surprise. Another surprise was the choice of pan fried or deep fried hash browns. The space is a little large for the the number of tables which makes noise travel a lot further than most places. The décor appears to be replica 50’s diner style. Great potential, and with a little reworking of the space huge potential. Come back potential; I’ll give it a 3⁄5 because I’m staying nearby for a few weeks but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Service I’ll give 3.5÷5. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad. Food 2⁄5. Overall experience 2⁄5. Maybe they’re having a bad day in the kitchen but the coffee is lacking, it’s far too noisy and the portions are a little small for the price.

I was really excited to try this place after looking for a high rated breakfast spot before the motorcycle show. Décor is a 50’s diner and staff are super nice. Prices are reasonable. We had eggs Benny, asked for medium, came our soft. Not the end of the world. But the hollandaise was out of a package and that was a bummer cuz I’m all about the hollandaise. The pan fries and bacon were yummy. The breakfast skillets we saw come out looked really good. Next time I’ll try something besides the Benny.

Went for breaky… lots of parking. Menu was pretty standard with more than a few«skillets». Got a standard bacon n eggs with french toast. Hash were tasty, eggs done to what I think is a standard(soft poach) and the bacon wasn’t too overcooked/crispy. A slight note. my sausage was butterflied which I didn’t care for but either from that… server had a smile with some friendly banter. Will be my goto diner/hole in the wall for Abbostford. Breakfast and service done very well! My .02

By far the best place for breakfast, brunch meals. I’ve never had bad service and the staff, whether new or seasoned, always polite and expedient. The food, I love everything about the lunch specials.

Anne Marie’s is a hidden gem! Everything they make is fresh and has that authentic home cooked flavour & texture. I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but I have sampled quite a lot of it and have not yet been disappointed. Currently I’m on an omelet kick. They are soooo goood!!! As another reviewer also mentioned, I too appreciate the tomato substitute for spuds. The thing I like best about their nostalgic décor is the historic photos of Abbotsford. Very appropriate, I have to say. So many reasons to return again & again. Great food, friendly staff, Big Win!

Nice ambiance. A little noisy but it’s alright and expected. Good food. Good coffee. Great food takes time so no rush. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with poutine. Beautifully soft bun, crispy bacon, melted cheese and flavorful burger. The poutine was delicious with green onions and the gravy so nicely seasoned. Too bad I don’t like pickles cuz it came with a huge pickle spear. The staff are friendly and courteous. It doesn’t hurt that the servers are easy on the eyes.. Thank you for the wonderful service and food Ann Maries’s café. I’ll be back with friends in tow.

this place is pretty good, though not the best. The coffee does the job, but it doesn’t quite hit the spot(it’s a little weak for me and my people). The food was good, though it took forever to get out to us. The fact that they offer free WiFi is a huge plus for travelers so we can hop on and connect with those back home. Parking was easy, there is a lot in the back and street parking to the side. Overall I would say that this is a great spot to go if you’re in the area, but it’s not something I would go out of my way for again.

Great ’50’s diner ambience. Came here for the all day breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. Omelette was fluffy and they had no trouble substituting the hash browns and toast for tomatoes. The perogies were just the way my wife likes them. We will definitely be back.

I went here for breakfast with my 12 year old son. It was a nice experience for sure. The décor is very cool and the service was good. The food however was just average. I ordered the BC Benny with pan fried potatoes. The eggs were cooked very nicely, but the light yellow yolk and bland flavour tells me that they obviously are not using a high quality, free range egg. The prices are not astronomical by any means, but not cheap either so I didn’t expect them to be using cheap ingredients. Even the potatoes they are using for breakfast I suspect are just the cheap old russets. My son had a chicken omelette with a nice fresh salsa on top. The salsa was the star of this dish for sure. Once again the low quality eggs and potatoes turned what could have been an outstanding meal into something just average. I’m sure I will return here one day and give the dinner menu a try but I don’t think I’ll be back for breakfast anytime soon

This was my first visit after hearing lots of good things about the food and service. I went for lunch and was surprised at the décor and size of the restaurant. Quite big and in a ’50’s type décor. Service was prompt and friendly. The place was full and noisy as a chicken coop at feeding time. I had the tuna sandwich special with fries. It was OK although for some strange reason there was a spice in the tuna which made it hot and masked the great tuna taste which I love. Not great! The menu is certainly varied and well priced. The plates which passed by my booth looked good so I’ll be back but not for the tuna sandwich! Maybe a burger or fish & chips which looked terrific.

We just we found this place. It was sort of hard to find since it is located in the back of the building. But we were seated right away, greeted warmly and my husband didn’t mind the look of the servers! The food was good and was ready very quickly. The bill was reasonable and I would definitely go back!

The bmt skillet was soooo good. There was just the right amount of the yummy hollandaise sauce, and the bacon and hash browns were crispy. The yolk was just the right kind of runny, and all the onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes were seasoned perfectly. Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Everything tasted really fresh. Service was prompt and the waitress was smiley and friendly. The communication between the staff was really good as well. They kept each other updated on each other’s tables to ensure good customer service. I’ll be back whenever I’m in the area!

* Torn * I’m torn. Like: The 50’s diner styling and feel. Dislike: It feels like a copy of a 50’s diner done much more recently which could be in a theme park, if you know what I mean. Like: Very friendly service from most of the staff that seems to like their job and knows a lot of regulars. Dislike: One waitress that just didn’t fit in terms of service attitude. She seemed to be having a really bad day. Like: The two egg breakfast had over easy eggs done just right with a runny yolk. The pan fried potatoes had a nice crispiness outside and went well with the caramelized onions. Photo: Dislike: The potatoes were not cooked evenly and some were very hard inside. The toast was thick cut, but supermarket quality. Like: The beef vegetable soup had a lot of homestyle cut veggies that were cooked just right. Dislike: The beef vegetable soup was ridiculously oily, and didn’t have much beef at all. Photo: Like: The turkey club had thick slices of turkey and was served on sourdough bread. Dislike: The turkey in the club was deli counter type as opposed to fresh made. The bread was supermarket quality and there was very very very VERY little bacon. Photo: Like: The coffee is served with free refills. Dislike: The coffee needed a LOT of cream to be palatable. So I’m torn. I guess it was just ok.

Driving by and all we saw was a full parking lot, which was odd early on a Sunday morning when all the streets were empty… After finding the entrance behind the Letter Lock… we were glad we found this little place… Food was great — traditional diner cuisine, the only thing that could have been better was 60’s pricing, that it was not but not terrible, Atmosphere felt new and was very clean, including the lavatories. Nice quick greeting and one last table available surprisingly for the amount of people. The service was great and friendly… service was relatively quick taking into consideration we were in the peek of the morning rush… Lots of 60’s feel, a cool little restaurant, we will be back again Thanks Ann Marie !!
