MEI is one of British Columbia’s largest independent schools, with more than 1,500 preschool through grade 12 students enrolled annually. Its student body reflects the cultural mosaic of the local community, and MEI is recognized internationally for excellence in spiritual, academic, and physical development.

History
Established in 1944.
More than sixty years ago, a small group of Mennonite churches felt the need to establish a Christian school which would focus on Anabaptist values while providing a strong academic program. Throughout its long history, MEI has been committed to the mission of delivering education of the highest quality, integrated with distiinctive Christian values. MEI began as a secondary school in 1944, expanded to include an elementary school in 1992, and opened MEI Middle School in August 2004.
