Soft Touch Day Spa

My boyfriend and I came in on Friday Jan 2^nd for a couples massage and it thought I would tell you about our experience. We went to the Yale Court location, and were looking forward to our massages. When we walked in we were welcomed with smiles, the staff were super friendly. Then we were told to have a seat and wait, seemed a bit odd to be at a «spa» and have to sit in the main entrance with no music and where you can hear the receptionist talking on the phone to clients. This wasn’t a relaxing atmosphere. Then we were brought down to the couples room, we noticed outside the couples room was a nice waiting area and wondered why we weren’t brought there to wait. I noticed that the massage tables weren’t very comfortable and that instead of a nice cover for the head rest it was just a scratchy towel. We booked an 1hour massage, by the time we were retrieved from the waiting room and brought to the room we feel that this was only a 45minute massage. The girls took quite some time to come back to the room once we were changed, I got a bit antsy having to wait so long. Once the girls came back they started to massage us, my boyfriend mentioned that his masseuse didn’t keep the same pressure throughout the massage and wouldn’t go any higher than half way up his thigh. This was a concern for my boyfriend as he has damage to his muscle tissue (outside side of the thigh) due to a previous accident and was looking forward to having it massaged. My masseuse only massaged one of my knees and didn’t keep the same pressure throughout the massage. The atmosphere in the room wasn’t any better than the «waiting room». The music was definitely not what I would have picked for a spa (my heart goes on was playing at one point), the lighting was very bright and there was no dimmer switch to change this. The room was quite cold as well. Also, the flooring is tile in the massage room, but the girls have chairs that have wheels on them and make A LOT of noise when they moved. Honestly, I was not relaxed at all. When we flipped over to lay on our back, after the massage was done my boyfriend’s masseuse just ripped off the towel covering his eyes and it was instant light for him. Not a good way to end a massage. We were told that when we came out they would be there with water waiting for us, we came out of the room no one was there. There was however two glasses of water sitting on a table just down the hall, honestly I had no idea they were for us. When we drank the water, it had no garnish (lemon, cucumber, mint) and was luke warm clearly straight from the tap. This may seem a bit picky, but when I come out of a massage I prefer a cold glass of water to quench my thirst and have had this in previous spa experiences.
I am hoping that by telling you all of this, you can work with this location to improve and become a better spa. I probably will not visit this location again. This was a Christmas present for my boyfriend, and I was not impressed at all. I paid quite a bit of money for not a good experience.
I sent the above in email form to Soft Touch Day Spa and got NO ANSWER! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I WILL NOT BE VISITING EITHER LOCATION. I AM SO BEYOND DISAPPOINTED THAT NO ONE COULD TAKE TWO MINUTES OUT OF THEIR DAY TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
