History

Established in 2002.

Columbia Ice was originally founded by Peter Boyco in 2002 as an extension of his liquor distribution business in Edmonton, AB. Its focus early on was to provide excellent ice service to gas stations, liquor stores and resorts around Edmonton. As Columbia grew it expanded to support local bottled water companies, construction companies and many of the large outdoor festivals in and around Edmonton.

In 2011 the company was purchased by current owner Ernie Graveline who then build a brand new ice factory increasing capacity. Columbia Ice is focused on providing excellent service and premium packaged ice in Edmonton and area.

Business Owner

Ernie is the Owner and I am the Icemen. Together we make up Columbia Ice, a local packaged ice company in Edmonton, AB. Ernie started out as a farmer, then worked up north logging, before running multiple fast food franchises. Before purchasing Columbia Ice he ran a successful office coffee business in both Edmonton and Calgary. Wanting a change he decided to buy a local ice company and give that a try.
