The Woods Lounge & Dining Room

Had lunch yesterday. Had the daily catch. Halibut was perfectly under cooked. It’s a golf course so was surprised that someone thinks it’s only fine dining.
Even for casual food not bad not great service was prompt and courteous

After making dining room reservations for our anniversary we arrived at the Woods to find the dining room was closed for a private function, however, they would be happy to seat us in the lounge with the regular dinner menu. We were promptly given the lounge menus. After requesting the dinner menus again, we were brought one dinner menu and one lunch menu. Waitress forgot to ask how the steak should be cooked so she had to come back to find out. Dinner was served — oops no flatware! No cloth napkins — paper napkins only. Dress attire for the wait staff is fine for the lounge — but not appropriate for «Fine Dining». Tenderloin was served with string still on — it’s not a garnish. Garnish included a piece of brown slimely lettuce — really not appetizing on the side of your plate. Portion size was small for the price and the flavour was nothing to get excited about. Very lacklustre. Waitress couldn’t describe the 3 items on the dessert menu without referring to the kitchen for help. For a restaurant that was rebranded 4 months ago enough time has passed to work out the kinks. For a restaurant that claims to be «Fine Dining» it is anything but fine.
