Specialties

We can meet with you and your family anywhere in the Lower Mainland.

At Alternatives, we are proud to provide you with a different approach to funeral and cremation services. While Alternatives provides everything from a simple cremation without a service to a complete funeral with burial or cremation; we specialize in creating fully customized one-of-a-kind experiences that simply can’t be found anywhere else. Our unique, personal approach starts with our focus on customer care, and extends to our many service and event offerings.

History

Established in 1992.

Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services began in Western Canada in 1992 as Personal Alternative Funeral Services, with the goal of providing consumers with a comfortable, affordable and common-sense alternative to the escalating costs found in many funeral homes. Clearly our approach was welcomed as we have become the largest independently owned funeral home in Western Canada.

From the one location in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, the company has grown to serve over 1,200 families every year.
