History
Established in 1948.
The cabin is the first one built at Pinecroft by Arthur «Art» Caverly in 1934. He built it so that his wife, Selma might enjoy her Sunday afternoons reading in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of the cabin. We too felt that this might be the perfect spot to share with visitors the beauty of Pinecroft, and the idea of a bed and breakfast was born. We hope that people will enjoy it as a spot to relax and reflect. Selma’s Cabin has been renovated to provide 2 guest rooms each with an en suite bath and private deck. The west guest room «Selma’s Studio“is named for Arthur & Selma Caverly’s daughter Selma, who with her husband Jimmie Clennell started the pottery, and gave Pinecroft its name. The east room, «Art’s Retreat» is named for Arthur Caverly, who had the vision and foresight to create the serenity of Pinecroft by planting the trees, dredging the pond and building the cabin.
