The service here was crap right from the beginning! My best friend and I decided to get tattoos to commemorate our wonderfully odd quirky 18 year friendship. Since she lives in Barrie, I thought it would be easier if we got them over Easter weekend while I was down there visiting my parents. We looked into a few places and Ink Soul Studio came recommended by an acquittance. I emailed them our designs and waited… four days went by and I hear nothing. Finally I called in to see if they got my email. The guy on the phone asked me which email address I sent it to(which was an odd question given there was only one on the website). He then told me he didn’t know how to check the email(REALLY?!) and the artist would get back to me when he was done with a client. Right there a red flag should have gone up, but I tucked my suspicions away and waited again. One day later I got an email back telling me that they would see me and my bff at 6:30pm. The day arrives and my friend and I head over to the strip mall. We were greeted by one of the tattoo artists: Guy– HEy how are you guys Me– Good… we are here for a 6:30pm appointment Guy– For what? Me– A tattoo… Guy– *huh* Me– I emailed you guys last week… me and my friend are getting custom tattoos of… Guy– The lawnmower right? Me– It’s a tricycle(smartass!) Guy– Hey Jay your 6:30pm is here… Jay– I have a 6:30pm? Me– Yeah you have two!!! Jay– Oh well let me just fix us this chick’s ankle… take a seat. Really? you’re going to take her first? Did she have an appointment too? Fine… we sat down and once again waited. Over 25 minutes passed and no one bothered to tell us anything and he was still tattooing the other girl. One of the artists was sleeping on the couch and the other one was on the phone the entire time we were there. No one spoke to us. In fact, «I have an appointment?» was the only thing our artist said us. This was my third tattoo but my friend’s first and I was not impressed with the vibe they gave her. We decided to walk out and wait until we are both in Toronto to have our work done. I am not spending $ 120 to spend 30 minutes with someone who can bother acknowledging my presence!
