Food is average. But for heaven sakes clean the washrooms! Last time I ate there I could smell urine in the restaurant originating from the smelly washroom!

I grew up with lick burga fry in oakville. Burga fry is tasty and I enjoy licks in barrie just as much as the old days in bronte! I get the double decker with extra cheddar! It fulfills my tummies hunger! Dat is for sure!

Decided to grab a late dinner at Lick’s on our way up to the cottage. Restaurant was busy with young families as it was a Friday night. I ordered a root beer($ 1.95) and the Snack Pak combo($ 5.95), which consisted of a mini-Homeburger and small handful of fries. It’s was a good amount of food for me. Burger was fresh and quite delicious. Love the choice of ample toppings. A good pit stop for a quick dinner.

Service: Same songs and such as all the other Licks. Décor: Same as any other Licks. Food: Same as any other Licks. Review: The service is similar to that of any other Licks. The location is pretty good being on Bayfield. There are a bunch of restaurants to hit up on the strip there but Licks is one of the few burger places that are better than McDs caliber burgers. Reason for stars: I would give them 2.5 stars. The food is not bad but I have had much better burgers before. The location is convenient. I just don’t see the value in the burgers and I can’t justify paying $ 12 for a combo per person. I mean, I have had better combos for $ 8 that have tasted MUCH better and with better value.

The onion rings are ok. But that is as nice a thing as one could say. I recall Licks as a fairly good burger spot. However, at this spot, on this day, the burger and bun seem to be just a different colour of bread, the fries are just little crumbs of an inch or so in length(and overdone to dry crispness) and the gravy was lumpy. The onion rings were OK. My advice would be to go across the street for Dim Sum and have a bit less mystery in the ingredients of your lunch.
