The greasy young man in this photo is about to open his own auto parts store — as soon as his girlfriend loans him some money. Starting with a $ 1,500 loan, Bob grew the business from a part-​time Speed Shop (open from 6 to 10 in the evening) to locations across South Eastern Ontario and Quebec.

Performance Improvements Speed Shops founder Bob McJannett is still working on cars, and getting grease stains on all of his clothes. His latest ride is a 1932 Ford Roadster, while his daily driver in the summer is his 1941 Mercury. While we started out specializing in street rod and race products, we now sell automotive parts for almost every vehicle on the road.
