The Keg Steak House & Bar

Me and my husband went here this past month for a date night. Hubby made reservations we got there and of course no issue getting a seat. The ambiance was amazing it felt like such a nice night. Our waiter Jason R was amazing and explained the menu very well. He was very attentive but not overly pretty much the perfect amount. The bread service was amazing butter was like whipped cream. We each had a cocktail my husband got the drunken cherry which well I am jealous I did not get it was fabulous my drink a mango mojito was wonderful just his was better. We shared a baked brie starter that was served with a pesto and pepper jelly which was hands down amazing. My husbands meal started with a caesar salad which was a good size and tasted delicious. I got chicken and ribs which came with a slaw and keg fries the chicken was cooked to perfection and the ribs were done just as well the slaw was ok and the fries were fries. My husband got a 7 oz bacon wrapped filet mignon with twice baked potato and seasonal veg with mushroom all amazing steak was cooked perfectly as the advice of our waiter. For dessert we shared a billy miner pie which we will go back for alone lol. Our waiter was generous with the water which was a plus. It was hands down one of our greatest dining experiences ever. We will be back. The only down side which was no fault of the keg was the children running rampid and being loud some parents should have better control over their kids in an establishment like that.

This is the best keg location I have been too! Service is fast, friendly and attentive. The food is always cooked perfectly without any issues.
A group of four of us recently went on New Years Day and we had a great experience. All of us ordered appetizers, entrees and dessert — it all tasted amazing.
The prime rib is my favourite dish there, especially with the garlic mashed potatoes!
The prices are reasonable as well for a nice restaurant! Each couples with drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert were a little under $ 100 not including tip.

Three months later and I’m still raving about the peppercorn steak with the most amazing whiskey peppercorn sauce I have had yet. My steak was medium to absolute perfection (should’ve got it medium rare tbh) whoever is responsible in that kitchen, for that slab of heaven is going places. Hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had.

My husband, sister, and I met our friends for dinner here and had a horrible experience. This is one of the worst Kegs I have ever been to. We had a long wait but did not book a reservation, so that was fine. We requested a large booth or table because there were 5 of us and after waiting an hour they sat us at a small booth and put a chair at the end. My sister was sitting in the middle of the walkway and we had no arm room AT all due to all be squeezed in. To top things off our waitress was rude, they screwed up my steak, and they screwed up my sister’s meal. Needless to say none of us were impressed and have never had such a bad experience.

Never got a bad meal here but one waitress short with glasses is insane. Screwed up order, wine, you name it. Chef came out and apologized. He talked to her and she never came back to my table again, had to go to the bar to pay and leave. Management never addressed or noticed situation bald guy in suit too busy flirting in bar to have a clue. Usually its been great, but not as polished as the mansion location in T.O.

I usually really enjoy the Keg. I have been to many different locations across Ontario. For some reason this location leaves me flat.
Service can be so-​so, and we have had two meals there that were really not very good at all.
One was a Prime Rib that we had later in the evening, probably 8:30. It arrived over cooked and dry. When we mentioned this to our server they brought us another plate each (after a 15 minute wait) and this was equally dry and overcooked. We made our comments to management, but did not get any satisfaction.
The desserts are good and the drinks are well done.

Came from the city of the big apple, NY city. My sister i stopped for a bite to eat, i must say lounge was great dinning even better. Price was reasonable. Steak and salmon were great. I was very happy, service was great. Will def come back

The Keg locations are almost always good and this one does not disappoint! Great service at the bar if the restaurant is full — not sure at all why there are some low rated reviews here (the 1 star review person has barely any reviews so its almost really a throw away review IMHO). This place is good — you should go there.

can’t beleive the keg has two stars… boo…to the other reviewers!
our service was excellent — we opted for the bar to save the 20 min. wait, so prob, server was to us right away for our drink order, then the famous bread — i had a sirloin, and my gf went for the tenderloin, outstanding always.

Horrible service. Outrageous! They lost our reservation. When we asked if they could still accommodate our party, the host said yes and had us sit in the lobby while they made arrangements. The host returned a few moments later to ask when the rest of our party would arrive. We told him they were running late and would be arriving soon. The host then proceeded to tell us that they could only accommodate us in the dining room if the rest of our party was here, but that they could seat us in the lounge instead. I cannot believe this. THEY lost our reservation for the dining room, we did not make a reservation for the lounge. The host was not the slightest bit apologetic. Just a take-​it-​or-​leave-​it attitude. He actually used the words «you’re not paying customers, so I can’t seat you in the dining room.» Completely outrageous assumptions! It’s really only unfortunate for them because it was a birthday celebration table of six and we are simply eating elsewhere. Not the first time I’ve had subpar service at this location. Never returning.

What the hell was wrong with our waitress?! I was actually afraid she was going to stick me with one of the shiny steak knives they offer you there. She was nutso man!
Food was good. No mushroom caps (big let down for me). But nice atmosphere. Nice and clean. Service makes a big difference and this Keg lost two stars because of the insano waitress they hired to serve us.
Ugh. Gives me chills just thinking about it.
