I think this is the only museum-type place in Belleville. It’s a national historic site of Canada and a really beautiful manor. You can see the way people lived in this area 150 – 200 years ago. There are lots of old Victorian homes in Belleville but most are still people’s houses(the house I live in is a 150-year-old Victorian home), but this one is frozen in time.

Wow Glanmore is a National Historic site and my review will be the first! When I moved to the area within the first month I checked out Glanmore since it is the only real tourist place to visit in Belleville. From the outside the grounds are well kept and the house looks charming. I visited on a Sunday as I was the only person there, the tour guide was friendly and helpful. I found the only thing missing was no kitchen, it took out of some of the luster since kitchens are ea focal point in most historic tours. A neat thing was going into the basement though and seeing displays and the feel of an old house and history down there. I think this would be a must stop at Christmas to when they set up the holiday display.
