Worst Company Ever. At this isze of company you should have a better tracking service and customer service who knows what they are doing. express shipments should be fast not to be delivered after 3 days

Terrible. Just terrible. Terrible customer service. Terrible in every way possible. I absolutely hate receiving a package by DHL.
Terrible attitudes. Terrible service. Never actually deliver package even though that’s their job. Been lied to by workers there. Packages were soaking wet (ew). They’re a complete joke.
Wasted days sitting around waiting for packages that never come and then the tracking online says I REFUSED the package (like what?!) Both times I was forced to have to pick up my package because they are too incompetent to deliver it properly at my house. Wish I could give negative stars.

We had a package overnighted from New York to Toronto, and with a misdelivery mishap in the morning, DHL was SO helpful in understanding the urgency of getting the package later that day in a timely manner, and executing the redelivery/​pick-​up. After numerous phone calls, they were able to contact dispatch, get a hold of the truck driver and have us meet him there to get the package ourselves just in time. Thanks DHL!

DHL is a joke…
I was waiting for my shipment on Dec 22^nd. The driver did not ring the bell, he just left this notice at the door… Would’ve been faster for him to just ring and give the package! Anyhow, after arguing with DHL over the phone, they informed me that there was NOTHING they could do now and that the package was going to be delivered on Dec 27. On Dec 27, the package was delivered to the wrong house and DHL obtained a false signature… Lol

Oh boy. I’m not generally a very negative person, but I’ve now had multiple bad experiences with DHL. I’ll mention only the most memorable here:
I ordered a package off the Internet, and it was sent from the U.S. via DHL. As it happened, I wasn’t listed in my apartment building’s PA system at the time (the wiring hadn’t worked on my floor in years, for some reason), but I included instructions for the delivery-​person to give me a call when he or she arrived, and then I would come meet them in the lobby.
The package didn’t show up; I checked online and found it had been marked undeliverable. I called DHL to sort things out and eventually learned that my instructions had been either lost or simply disregarded; since I was not in the PA system, DHL was unable to deliver the package. That was frustrating. But these things happen. I asked for my options, and was given two: either they could try again a week later (…just in case my apartment had mysteriously been added to the system by then, I guess?), or I could go to their warehouse and pick the parcel up myself.
I couldn’t trust them to get the delivery right, and at any rate, a week later wasn’t going to be soon enough; I needed this parcel before the weekend. I didn’t have much extra time, but it looked like I was going to be making a bit of a trip. Now, like many warehouses, DHL’s is in Brampton. Now, like many Torontonians, I don’t own a car and am not a great driver in the first place. So I hopped on a GO train out to Bramalea, transferred to a local bus, and then finally did some walking. I didn’t get lost, but the walk was longer than I expected. Finally, 40 minutes after getting off the Mississauga regional bus, in the dark and with rain beginning to fall, I walked in the door of the DHL warehouse and explained the situation.
They brought out my package and charged me $ 15 for the failed delivery.
I find this an inexcusable way of treating customers. DHL ignored my instructions, turned back at the door of my apartment because they couldn’t bring themselves to call me inside, forced me to trek out to the freakin’ middle of nowhere in Brampton in the middle of a busy week, and then fined me extra because of THEIR inconvenience?
Disgusted, but at least with needed parcel in hand, I left the warehouse. It was now definitely raining. I walked to a hotel next door and asked them to call a taxi for me, because there was no way I was walking 40 minutes in the rain just to wait for a bus to eventually get back to the GO station. The hotel staff were all too happy to oblige, and even though I wasn’t even staying there and hadn’t given them a penny, they insisted that I help myself to tea or coffee in the lounge off the lobby. What a contrast to the customer service I’d just received at the hands of the hotel’s neighbours! Anyway, the taxi arrived promptly; I finished my tea on the way to the GO station, slept on the bus back, and got home around 1 AM. Shortly thereafter, the hotel received a thank-​you card from me. They deserved it.

I am updating my comments on DHL Express Canada. I am changing my rating of a 1 out of 5 to a 3 out of 5.

Overall — 3 out of 5 (FINAL UPDATE — I am a stickler for customer service and the fact that someone in a leadership function called me tonight to explain the situation was most appreciated — For that I am moving this ranking to a 4 out of 5)
We had issues receiving the package and were told to wait for a delivery on three days where the package never came. Finally, I was able to reach out to someone in a leadership position and they were very receptive and the next day we were contacted twice and our delivery arrived in the afternoon.
I can tell that the DHL leadership team cares about their service due to the quick response, so I have decided that I will give them another try in the future when I need express delivery. WIth that said, I hope the leadership team will take steps to improve their overall service quality from initial contact.

I give DHL .1 of a star actually! Please note this review is not specific to this DHL location but for the company’s «customer service» hotline.
I was expecting a parcel from the U. S and being the OCD person I am, I was frequently checking my tracking updates when I noticed that the updates were behind a day and then subsequently I started to freak out when the tracking actually stated that my parcel was «successfully delivered» when in truth I had no package in my possession!!!
Now the tricky thing was my parcel was in DHL’s care within the US and then given to Canada Post for delivery once it reached Canada. Well once I called DHL to report my package as non-​delivered the callous-​toned woman who I spoke with pretty much kept parlaying the blame back on Canada Post and in a nutshell gave the impression that I was shit out of luck and did nothing to help me facilitate a trace. By comparison the people I spoke with from Canada Post were calm and kept suggesting I follow up with the sender and also suggested I wait a day or two as they explained that sometimes delivery tracking updates are prescanned and backlogged.
In the end I got my package, only because a neighbour was kind enough to give it to me as it was DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS.
Needless to say I’m vehemently disappointed with the utter lack of customer supportive services from DHL’s end and I felt like their handling of my issue sounded more like a defensive and defiant FU, than a collected and levelheaded «we will see what we can do for you»
