I came to this place for years. They never delivered on what they promised(would say glasses would be done in about a week and NEVER were) but they were friendly and their prices reasonable. My recent experience will surely be my last. I wanted a specific frame and was told they could order this frame in for me. I found the price significantly cheaper online but if I ordered through Focus Optical, I’d get a free optometrist appointment($ 60 value). This STILL didn’t make up the difference but it was something so I went ahead with it. She called me that day to confirm the colour of frame. I assumed the glasses were ordered that day. Two full weeks later I get a call saying she cannot order these frames as the supplier does not ship to Canada. And she COULD order them from someone else but it would be more money. $ 400 later and still more expensive than the online vendor, I am not giving these people anything else. Especially after wasting my time by sitting on this information for 2 weeks. She says she called me but I don’t have any missed calls and even so, one call in 2 weeks does not do it when you cannot deliver on a service you agreed to. I came in to get my refund and my prescription and she would not give me my Pupillary Distance because«that’s not a part of your prescription.» I know she took it and had the information right there but refused to give it to me even after years of being a customer and being screwed around with for 2 weeks after she couldn’t deliver on a service that she promised she could. I was originally intending to keep my prescription on file with them in case I needed contacts, etc. in the future, even after this mess. But after she flat-out refused to try and help me and seemed totally unconcerned at how unhappy I was with their terrible customer service, I will not only never go back but will make sure everyone I know with glasses in the Brampton area visits one of the dozen other optical stores on that strip of Queen St.
