Its not too busy on a Sunday morning and its fairly large with plenty of seating. You can even get a box of coffee for get togethers as long as you give them an hours notice. However, I originally had a much higher review for this one. I don’t know what’s happening at Second Cup in the last 6 months or so as I’ve been experiencing inconsistent service. Recently one night I had them make me a triple espresso short and it turned out to be room temperature, they had to make it for me again, the excuse had something to do with given me espresso that was sitting on top of the machine, I was not impressed.

Okay, so yes, Second Cup is a chain coffeeshop. I won’t give it a 5-star rating, because I’m sure there is a bona fide LOCAL coffee joint in Brampton that I haven’t discovered yet(I just moved here) that has killer coffee options and an awesome chill vibe that deserves your business. The products at Second Cup are the same products you’ll find at any Second Cup, so in that sense, I don’t feel like there’s much to distinguish one from another on the product end of things. For me, what makes this Second Cup worth a visit is the environment and the staff. Coffee shops are my go-to workspace, and I can be pretty picky when trying to find one with the right«feel». This Second Cup is spacious, with plenty of seating, while still feeling cozy(especially the nook at the back). And there’s a fireplace that I’m sure will be great come winter time. Also hugely important: I’ve consistently been able to score a table next to a power outlet(crucial, when working off on an older laptop), and the wifi here is consistently decent. Background noise is pretty much a non-factor. There are usually other people in the shop talking and doing their thing, but it’s not so much that it becomes distracting – just white-noise really. Lastly, so far my interactions have been incredibly pleasant. In about a month’s time, a few of the staff have already come to recognize me, and joke around with me. They are all very nice and make this location feel very warm and inviting. So is/are there better local coffee joints in Brampton? Probably. But if you need some caffeine and a place to work or meet someone, like Second Cup’s products, and are in the Steeles/Hurontario area, it’s well-worth stopping in.

This is my favourite Second Cup location in Brampton. It’s spacious, has a cozy fireplace spot for social visits and it has a nice little working«nook» in the back that helps focus for those times I am there using it as an office.(Admittedly, though, that back-of-store narrow area gets VERY cold in winter.) The staff are top-notch, too. With only one exception I can think of, everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Even when there’s a new staff member training, I can see that good service is being taught alongside everything else. This location’s manager is friendly and committed to good service. The food and drinks are standard, of course, but of typically good Second Cup quality.

Nicest Second Cup around. Just opened recently, lots of modern leather furniture inside. Very clean, tons of desserts to choose from, and open until 12AM. Beats the crap out of Tim Hortons. I like the hot chocolate, not so much a coffee guy to be honest.
