Quartier Dix-30

ok shopping mall on the south shore. its very american in feels and look with everything spread out where the lazy drives around while the more fit would walk. not practical during the cold days of winter.
concept works in a warmer climate but up here, in the cold north? it doesn’t make sense.
anyway, you can find pretty much everything (as in retail stores) even the recently opened david’s tea. to think we have plenty of those in montreal and the south just got it. restaurants are ok. only franchises and a copper branch. other than that, don’t expect to find the little hole in the wall kind of places you’d find in montreal. don’t expect to find indie coffee shop too. very sad :(
its definitely not my kind of place but if one feels the desire to travel but can’t afford to take off for a weekend or doesn’t have the mean for it well, a crazy long bus ride to dix-​30 and you’ll be in another world. it does feel like you’re somewhere else. for a lack of better words, its very douchey just like Laval Centropolis

This is a very interesting, slightly peculiar place as I have not experienced anything like it. You can really make a retreat out of your trip here if you’re not from the area. You can stay at the ALT hotel, which despite its lovely décor, encourages you to leave the hotel and use the services of its neighbours. While you’re there, you can do a little shopping, grab a bite to eat, go to the gym or yoga, visit the spa, and even catch a movie at either Cineplex or Cineplex VIP. It was an interesting visit. I can see that Brossard is really developing and this shopping complex seems to be the epicenter of excitement for this suburb.
But I am very perplexed how the stores make enough money during the cold months to stay in business. I can’t imagine any one wanting to shop outdoors in –40C weather.

This is the place for ultimate shopping experience in typical North American style. There are number of stores of outlet size, selling the products on regular prices and you need to walk outside to visit them, some restaurants in between, movie theatre and here we are, the very successful shopping formula of our Southern neighbours. The problem for me is in Quebec similar formula works well during the spring (or whatever we have during April, May) and the fall. Walking out in the cold winter weather or sticky summer is not a pleasure I reserve for similar opened concrete spaces, where you would hardly see a tree or may be blown by the Northern winds.
Besides that for good or bad Dix-​30 continues to grow up to a monstrous size. Still walkable, but really you are at the point to use your car to move around, another hassle as on a weekend afternoon the place is packed with cars trying to park or just creating traffic jams.
So you would ask why I still come here, well because of the ultimate shopping experience. Every brand has a store in this shopping area today and even more than one. Last time I found the needed size of shoes in the second store, while the first didn’t have it. Most of the stores are big and well arranged, sometimes better supplied than downtown Montréal. That applies to groceries stores as Adonis or simply Canadian Tyre. Conclusion, if you are not afraid to cross the bridge and leave behind your beloved Montréal come over for some suburban shopping.

On y retrouve de jolie boutiques de toutes sortes ! Un peu comme les outlet des USA mais avec prix réguliers. Points négatifs le stationnements je vous recommande les stationnents intérieurs en hiver! Il y a de bons restos et une salle de spectacle

Quartier Dix-​30 is located on the South Shore of Montréal which is convenient for those not wanting to cross the St. Lawrence river to Montréal using the always wonderful traffic prone Champlain Bridge or the Lafountain Tunnel. Dix-​30 (pronounced «Zis Thrant») is a designation for the Highways 10 & 30 which meet in this area. Highway 10 takes you to the Champlain Bridge, and Highway 30 takes you to the Lafountain Tunnel. Ok, enough for the history lesson. :-)
Quartier Dix-​30 is a sprawling shopping location with all the major stores you would find in a large shopping mall, except the stores are bigger and you will need to access them individually from the outside. It’s more of a large plaza style shopping. Along with the stores for clothing, shoes, accessories, bookstores, pharmacies, banks, and others, you’ll also find several restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Oh yeah, there’s a large movie theater complex located here too. The location is great with easy access from the two highways mentioned and plenty of parking spots available. Great place to shop and eat in the Montréal vicinity.

The pinnacle of sub-​urban sprawl and needless consumerism.

This is the first time in my life that I am going to the bathroom and the door of the toilette is missing! Concept really interesting ! The dix30 you have all the store you need but not the privacy you want !

Je né suis pas un fan de la rive-​sud, mais entre magasiner au centre-​ville de Montréal et venir ici, mon cœur de montréalais balance. Le gros avantage de se déplacer jusqu’ici c’est le stationnement. Pourquoi risquer une contravention dans le centre-​ville alors que vous trouvez vraiment de tout au Dix-​30? De plus, on évite le prix exorbitant des parcomètres de Montréal et des stationnements payants qui sont une insulte aux automobilistes. Si en plus, on ajoute à cela la facilité déconcertante à accéder à l’endroit par les autoroutes et la faciliter à trouver une place stationnement, je me demande de plus en plus si le magasinage dans le centre-​ville est encore une bonne chose.
Je viens surtout ici pour l’immense épicerie Adonis, pour Oberson et la boutique Peak Performance.
J’enlève une étoile car la place est très étendue en superficie et il faut constamment reprendre sa voiture si l’autre boutique qui vous intéresse n’est pas à côté.
Je recommande.

Certains disent qu’il est aberrant qu’un tel «village de la consommation «ait été construit, mais bon… Qu’y a-​t-​il de vraiment différent du centre-​ville de Montréal, par exemple? Lorsque je sais que j’ai plusieurs courses à faire (magasinage, épicerie, etc.) c’est au Quartier Dix-​30 que je me rends, car TOUT ce que je cherche s’y trouve. Gigantesque épicerie Adonis, boutiques de vêtements et de meuble, restaurants, cinéma, etc Puisque le Quartier est situé à l’angle des autoroutes 10 et 30, il est très facile d’accès. De plus, le stationnement est GRATUIT (même à l’intérieur si on le souhaite). Difficile de dire la même chose du centre-​ville de Montréal où il est plus ardu de trouver une place pour se stationner et où il pleut des contraventions au moindre oubli de mettre de l’argent dans le parcomètre (qui coûte un bras, ou 2, ou 3 selon la durée de notre magasinage).
Le Quartier Dix-​30 est bien entretenu et propre, et c’est d’autant plus vrai depuis l’ouverture du nouveau Square Dix-​30 et de ses nouvelles boutiques. Les employés étaient très gentils et offraient un excellent service dans la plupart des magasins où je me suis rendue.
Bön, il est vrai que le Dix-​30 est tellement grand qu’il faut déplacer sa voiture pour visiter l’étendue du site. Par contre, s’il fait beau et qu’on dispose de toute la journée pour magasiner, c’est tout à fait faisable de se déplacer à pied d’un bout à l’autre du Quartier. Pour pourrez en profiter pour manger une glacé en chemin ou pour aller prendre un verre sur une terrasse en passant.

I love to go there! Good stores and ambience. I’m at the DIX30 at least 3 times a week. They now have more than 200 stores open and the parking is free!

Bön, ma critique est pour le supermarché Adonis. Un mot pour le décrire: INCROYABLE! C’est énorme, très propre, des belles grandes rangées. Beaucoup de choix: bar à olives et noix, bar à fromages, charcuterie, viandes fraîches, poissonnerie, un comptoir à emporter, un coin sushis, une pâtisserie européenne et une pâtisserie arabe. Il y a vraiment de tout, pour tous les goûts et ce n’est pas cher!!!
En plus, un grand stationnement et on peut sortir les paniers (In your face, PA Dufort!)
Vraiment, ça vaut le déplacement!

Nonobstant que je hais les centres d’achat, faut dire que le 10 – 30 me fait sauver bien du temps lorsque je dois magasiner rapidement.
Magasin de plein air, d’électronique, boardshop, banques, ameublement, vêtements, name it ! même une épicerie Adonis (ça j’adore)
Toujours beaucoup de traffic évitez d’y aller les dimanches…

It’s a great place to visit! Lot of good shopping and nice restaurants.
The only problem is traffic. There is so many cars during the w-​e, it takes time to get from point A to point B.

Every store you could need!!! And there are always new things opening up. You can walk during the summer and look around, stop for lunch or supper, or even just to have a drink. There is lots to do and it never gets boring. This is my second home :)))

What a lifestyle center! This place isn’t just for shopping, it really puts Brossard on the map for all things trendy.
Dix 30 first became famous for their Cineplex movie theater and Wal Mart, which remains one of their most popular stores, but it truly is like a city of its own. You can find anything there. Tons of stores for all budgets, including a new area called The Square which features name brands with soon opening Micheal Kors and a Holt Renfrew warehouse style project called H2.
There are plenty of restaurants, a night club, an arena, supermarkets, day care, doctor’s clinic, a concert hall, hotel, spa, etc. They are continuously building and adding new businesses so a simple check at their website will give you a nice list.
Main drawback is getting around, you definitely need to drive to go from one store to the next as it is extremely spaced out. The parking lots in some areas are very large, for stores like Wal Mart, Winners, Canadian Tire– but in the smaller sections it’s hard to find parking and few actually want to use their free underground parking.
There is a bus, # 35 that can get you to Dix 30 from the Panama Terminal but it doesn’t come often and won’t make enough stops.

Je suis partie de loin pour venir magasiner ici. Çà en a valu le déplacement. L’endroit est très convivial pour les déplacements d’une boutique à l’autre. Tout le monde peut y trouver son compte. Idéal pour une journée shopping/​ciné-​théatre/​resto. J’ai hâte de voir cet été les emplacements de jeux pour enfants.

An outdoor mall that is filled with any store you can ever want or need!
High end restaurants, day spa, hotel, movie theater.
As you walk through the streets there are mini playgrounds for parents who want to sit and rest and have the kids just play.
At night the streets are lite up with twinkle lights on the trees and big fire pits are placed between paths.
There are tons of specialty stores, bakeries, and they have also opened up an Adonis!
Quartier Dix 30 on a beautiful summer day is a wonderful way to spend the day.
