Had a craving for smoked meat or corned beef sandwich, did a quick search and discovered this hidden gem right on Brant in Burlington! Generous sandwich, meat was hot, moist and flavorful! Get the hut combo to add salad(coleslaw/macaron etc.) a pop and a half pickle(which was larger than most whole pickles!). It can be hard to find a good corned beef or smoked meat but when in Burlington Corned Beef Hut will be my go to!

Pretty good sized sandwiches at decent prices. look at my picture, the meat to bread ratio… wow! The only thing I wished was different were the sides that were accompanied. The pickle wasn’t as crunchy as I expected and the coleslaw was mediocre, similar to a coleslaw you find at the deli section of the supermarket. Beef brisket was nice, but I think a thicker slice of meat and less of a stack would make it even better for my liking.

A good corned beef sandwich at a good price. I wouldn’t make a trip to Burlington for the sandwich, but if you are downtown it is worth stopping in.

Really great sandwich! A bit pricey at $ 14+ for the medium sandwich(which was a huge pile of meat) and a dinky portion of really generic/gross Mac salad. Will definitely go back for a sandwich but skip the sides.

There are a few places in the Toronto area to get Montréal smoked meat but so few ever match what you’ll actually get in Montréal. There’s usually a relationship between how cursory the service is and how good the smoked meat is. In other words, more the waiter makes you feel like ordering smoked meat is an intrusion on his day, the better the smoked meat. Toronto people just can’t do truly desultory service. Corned Beef Hut, on Burlington’s main drag, totally flouts the rule that good smoked meat cannot be served in a friendly and welcoming service environment. This is, simply put, the best smoked meat you’re going to get along the Ontario portion of the 401. And service is fast and attentive. The smallest sandwich comes stacked as high or higher than Dunn’s in Toronto or the Montréal deli in Mississauga. for $ 2.50 more you can get a beverage, jumbo pickle, and a side of slaw/potato salad. It’s not a big place, but brightly lit, new, and clean. There’s a counter where you can eat in. It does have that«open after the bars let out» look to it but keep in mind this places closes at 10 pm(7 pm on Sundays). Dunn’s stack: Montréal Deli stack: Schwartz’s Montréal stack Smoked Meat Pete stack(L’Île-Perrot) Malic’s stack(Windsor) New Yorker Deli stack(Toronto)
