I really wanted to like this store, they have some friendly enough service but I guess being forced to follow Apple’s guidelines they’re forced to gouge you. Last straw was today when I called to upgrade the RAM on my Macbook. The nice lady told me the upgrade from 4 – 8 GIG would run me about 200 bucks installed. She went on to say that was standard for all computers… ya, no it’s not. I went down the street to Tiger Direct where they happily installed 8 GIGS of Apple approved ram for $ 76.00, installation and tax included!!! So the pleasure of dealing with Creative Technologies would have cost me over $ 120.00 extra, nearly 3 times the price of Tiger Direct!!!
