This entire building is Cara owned. The right side is Swiss Chalet sit down and the left side is Harvey’s take out or sit down but also has Swiss Chalet take out as well. You can if you wanted to order Swiss Chalet take out and eat it inside so you don’t have to wait for table service. Harvey’s has changed a bit in a sense that they’ve added a bunch of different sauces and their burgers are now the original side or Angus side. The Angus side has the same options as the original side except that the patties are larger and look more like ground beef and of course they are a bit more expensive. I had one of the special Angus combos today being 3 cheese and bacon on ¼ Angus burger. Harvey’s is pretty much the closest to home made burgers that is a chain that is they taste like burgers you have at home. The cheese is not processed for this burger but they aren’t full square slices but rather half slices. It’s a decent burger and a poutine upgrade is just 2 bucks. Basically my combo with the upgrade to poutine and a rather larger bottled water(591ml not 500ml of Aquafina) instead of fountain drink came out to just under 14 bucks after tax. The value is ok, the food is decent. They don’t have any recycling for waste like Wendy’s, just regular garbage.

This is a busy and very good Harvey’s. Food is made well, orders always right and drive thru efficient. Staff always very good. Online coupons always available.

If there is a burger chain whose burgers bring back memories of good times with my family and friends. its Harvey’s. Been around since the late 50’s, it was the taste of flame broiled burgers coming right off the grill and the smell emanating from the burger line that makes me think of my parents bringing us here and pressing our faces against the glass where the burgers are put together. Or the times going downtown to the arcades on Yonge St then hitting up the Harveys on the way home. Nostalgia is one thing. but the taste is what brings me back. The recent wave of fresh hand pressed burgers with crazy toppings is great. but sometimes I just like the taste of a Harveys burger(which I know is frozen) with a side of fresh cut fries(with the little crunchy bits at the end) and gravy. Harvey’s has diversified their burger options to the new«Great Canadian» which features a thicker patty and fresh like appearance and texture, along with chicken, fish and veggie options it has something for everyone. The fresh toppings are great and stand out as the much as the burgers. You can think up any crazy combination of toppings while you wait for your burger to be created and you can have as much or as little as you want. I once saw someone put 10 pickle slices and 10 tomatoes on a burger.crazy. The slogan of «Its a beautiful thing» relates directly to this. made the way you want it. Burger places are the new thing these days, but these will come and go. but I will always be a fan of Harvey’s
