This is long overdue, I had a social shopper for an oil change. It’s near my house so I decided why not?
I call and ask how early I can bring my car because I have work downtown they said they open at 8:30, I said okay that’s a little later than Id hoped but if that’s when they open I’ll be there on the dot at 8:30 and would need to go to the skytrain right away. He offered to drive me to the skytrain which I thought was actually really nice.
I show up at 8:20 just Incase because I usually start at 8:30 but told them ahead of time I’d be a little late. I wait… Wait… 8:30…8:40…8:45 … Some kid shows up and I ask if he works there and he says he’s an apprentice but has no keys. In anger I give him my keys, give him my number and say I need to leave. I said I’d try to get there when they closed but because I was now late for work I didn’t know if that would happen.
I got a call later that day. I told them about the situation where the guy on the phone simply giggles at the situation and does not apologize. I have all the while continued to stay calm. He goes on about what they did. He said I’d have to pay a tax fee and there is also an unexpected fee because of something that happened. I said very calmy, given the situation and customer service I received I asked to speak to a manager and see if it could be waived because I didn’t think it was fair. He made several excuses that they were open at 9 not 830, then i asked why his store hour sign said otherwise. He then blew up at me and yelled and asked why I was being rude. He went on and on until I gave up and said take my card, charge me whatever you want and I will take my car, he still wouldn’t give me my keys or take my money while he went on about how unreasonable I was being. He compared me to a man that threatened him earlier in the day. Again, all I said was he should be mindful of their customer service and all he had to do was own up and apologize.
He eventually waivedthe fee, let me leave and for 30min after tried to call me and texted me that he was very sorry bt he had a customer that day who made him angry.
You get 2 stars because you apologized and from other reviews I see you seem to do decent work and it was probably a one time incident but… I’d rather give my service elsewhere.

Fantastic experience! Just had an oil change done on a Mobile Bandit deal. $ 19.99. They changed the oil quickly and performed a «Basic Safety Inspection». They didn’t point out any issues and didn’t try to sell me anything. The guy I dealt with at the front desk was polite and pleasant. There is absolutely no reason that I won’t be back. Thank you!

God is my witness I am stating the truth as it happened, step by step:
I took my car for a brake estimate. A Mr. Aaron MacDonald took my car and they put it up on the hoist. After 15 minutes or so, the young Mr. Chohan gave me an estimate of $ 616. I asked him to kindly give me a discount and he said he would call the parts supplier to see if he can do a better price. He came back and said he would do it for $ 555. I agreed. This was put on paper but they took my estimate to copy it and never gave it back. They lent me their courtesy car. I went to Metrotown and half an hour later, I got a call saying they had taken another look at the vehicle and the calipers needed to be changed for an extra $ 490. I explained I had financial problems and I was in no position to pay that much money and please do not do any additional work. He called again and said it is dangerous to drive this car and he would do it for $ 400. I asked him not to do additional work as I was not able to pay for it and I promised to give him a release that the car would be moved from the shop at my risk: I wanted the next door shop to see it and give me a price. I had changed my calipers one year ago and I suspected this is a scam. I asked him to please NOT do anything to the brake system and he said I should then come back quickly. I did. He called me again and I told him I was on the phone and heading back to his shop. After my call ended I called back and he just said not to worry it had been taken care of.
I arrived there and asked how they had solved the issue. Mr. Aaron told me they had replaced the calipers and I would just have to pay as much as I could for them and the rest later. He put the paper in front of me and I was shocked as the price had jumped up from $ 555 to $ 1,136! He kept asking me to sign that I agreed. I had to borrow from my girlfriend and I paid them $ 790. They would not release my car. Under duress I wrote «I had asked you not to touch the calipers but you did. Thank you and I agree to pay $ 210 more when I can». Then the young Mr. Chohan came out and tore up that paper. He told me to sign that I agreed to pay $ 1,136. I said I could not agree.
He then had one of his staff drive my car into the shop and hoisted it back up and would not give me my car. He refused to give me my jacket too and I was outside in the cold. Then they went inside their office and CLOSED the office door which I found odd. At my request an Asian staffer brought my jacket and handed it to me. Mr. Chohan scolded him for doing that.
I called the police. Mr. Aaron MacDonald — who seemed to be a gentleman — began walking away. I asked him to please wait as the police was coming and I wanted him to tell the truth about what had happened. He said he had finished his hours and was going home.
When the police arrived, Mr. Chohan produced a completely different set of papers! My invoice had now increased to $ 1,161. The $ 555 estimate was all scratched up and now read $ 687. I asked him in front of the officer to please give me a copy of the torn up paper which recorded that I had specifically asked them not to touch the calipers. He first agreed when the officer asked him to and later refused. In front of the officer I asked him to preserve that document for court evidence. I also asked him to show us the calipers that he had said were cracked. He said he did not know where they were dumped and later told the officer that he would sell the calipers and was only charging me the charge to upgrade them.
He then said he was willing to let my car go if I agree to sign his contract saying I owed another $ 371 (which I was not agreeable to) and pay him another $ 300. I did not have that money and I refused to sign it. He kept my car and I had to take the sky train to home. Officer E. Faustino who had responded to my call kindly gave me and my gf a ride.
When I saw the falsified documents he had prepared for the police, I adjured God to judge Mr. Chohan and I know God will. I had told Mr. Aaron I have three people with disabilities in my household and have to financially support my brother who has brain tumor. None of this is a lie. Mr. Chohan called me a liar for saying these things. I adjure God to strike down whoever lied in this instance.

BEST CAR SHOP I’VE BEEN TO! I was driving by and noticed their steal of a deal on oil changes, so I decided to stop in hoping they would be able to take me as a walk in.
The shop was super busy and I was told that I can wait and see if they can get my car done in between appointments.
I ended up waiting about 35 mins which was fine. In that time I noticed that the staff actually knew a lot of their customers by name. There were even a few customers that came in and just left their keys with them and said «do whatever you need to, call me once it’s finished». What the heck?! I wasn’t sure what to make of that.
Once my car was on the hoist I noticed the technician checking a few things (didn’t know my super cheap oil change included a free safety check!!). Once the technician was finished, the manager came into the waiting room and asked if his technician could show me a few things he found on my car.
It turns out that the «repairs» I got done at another shop were not done correctly (mind you this was only 5 – 6 weeks before).
After the service I called my old repair shop and asked them to inspect the repairs they made. They told me it would cost an additional 850 because they found «a lot» of other issues. I told them to forget it.
So, I decided to come back to Auto service depot, they showed me exactly what the issues were and made the necessary repairs for only 380! What a big difference!
These guys are straight to the point and don’t try to sell you any unnecessary junk! I’m so glad I found this shop and really appreciate their honesty and professionalism. Now I understand why other customers just leave their keys and tell them to do whatever is necessary.

The guys at Auto Service Depot are great. They are honest mechanics and great to see a nice family run business. Their oil change pricing can’t be beat but will make you want to come back. I know I will.

I wouldn’t trust these guys with anything more than an oil change. I left my car at the shop and asked them to take a look at my brakes and the «maintenance required» symbol. When I picked up my car the next day my brakes felt the same and the maintenance symbol was still present. In addition, one of the technicians had lost one of my rims and did not replace it. Watch out for these guys, they overbook their schedules and do not do a good job

Never go to this store! I came there to do an estimate，they said it was free. But after they had a look，they asked me to leave my information，they would call me when they knew the price and asked me to pay 56 dollars for it! But they even didn’t finish the estimate，only had a look for 56 dollars! I refused to pay then several men came and put stones under my wheels, hitting my window, kicking my wheels and saying dirty words. Then I had to pay for it under the threaten, that was really a horrible experience like a nightmare!

If you read nothing else from this review, read this: These guys are super friendly and the prices can’t be beat!
I came here because of a SocialShopper deal for an oil change and inspection for $ 15, an absolute steal for Vancouver! From the moment I walked in the atmosphere was friendly, and I was quickly helped. Despite having an appointment, the garage was short staffed and I was told that the wait would be longer than normal. Totally fine with me, I just wish more places would be honest and tell their customers!
The inspection results were thorough and to the point, noting exact measurements and where things were out of line with my car. At no point was I pressured to fix anything or buy into anything more than what I came in for. They even tightened my squeaking steering belt for no extra charge! I can’t recommend this place highly enough, it is such a breath of fresh air compared to other garages I’ve been to.

$ 19.99 plus $ 2.5 Eco fee plus tax total comes to $ 25. Good deal for oil change. And nice people.

Recently had some work done to my 2002 Jetta TDI. This auto shop had a screaming good deal on a full synthetic oil change. I used to have custom rims on the car and after 12 years some of the thread on the lugs were shredded. I took my car in a 2^nd time to get all the problem lugs replaced and they did a fantastic job. I came early and saw them using a blow torch to heat up the lug nuts enough to remove them from the back of the rotors.
They do good work at reasonable prices and your car will be well taken care of here.
