Brentwood Medical Clinic

Long waits are expected. But I came in early and was only the 2^nd person in line but still had to wait over an hour to see the doctor.
Having said that the doctor was very nice and patient. Great experience with the doctor. And front desk was pleasant as well.

People seem to forget that this is a walk-​in clinic. Their website clearly states that closing hours are subject to change depending on patient volume. Yes, the wait-​times can be long, but (in my opinion) the wait is well worth it because you won’t find a better clinic in Burnaby. The doctors at Brentwood Medical really take their time with patients and treat you like a human being rather than just a number, and the front-​desk staff is exceptionally friendly as well.

Undoubtably the worst clinic I have encountered, for the sole reason that my wife or I have literally never been able to be seen by a doctor. They are so understaffed that they do not accept any patients as much as 3 hours before their close time. I have never encountered this at any other walk in clinic. Obviously the demand is there, so staff more doctors to serve the needs of your community.
To add insult to injury, the receptionists are so cranky… perhaps because they are constantly having to send away sick people who are understandably upset. At this point we don’t even bother trying.

I had went here on a whim because it was only place close by that accepted walk ins still (late in the day). Literally got in immediately. They took my info because I have never been there, I waited maybe 10 mins max I got called in and I told the doctor whats up, she looked at the test I had just done, and gave my prescription and I was out. Just like that. I was actually worried about the whole 2hr wait thing because my issue’s symptoms are just too irritating to wait that long but everything was done in 15mins tops.
Not to mention, the place wasn’t exactly empty. It’s fairly small, and all their chairs for people were filled. Like, there were at least 10 people there, not including people with appointments or that could have been in the mall near by.
Also, staff were amazingly friendly. Usually in clinics I am met with rude/​dead pan people. Everyone here was animated, and friendly. I loved the entire environment.
I will definitely be going here anytime I need something quick, and near by.

My wife and I have had mixed experiences there. The receptionists were quite helpful and they do seem to know how to juggle the crazy amount of patients they receive every day. I have seem Dr. Ghahary, and I thought the appointment was quick and my concerns were not addressed, the dr. seemed to be in a hurry… My wife went there two months ago and saw Dr. Yoon and she loved the experience.
My tip is to arrive really early on Saturday. You might find a couple of people already there, but you usually wait way less than if you arrive a couple of hours after the place is open.

Waits can get long and yes, the receptionists can under estimate the wait times but the doctors are good. Every time I see Dr Yoon he is really kind and attentive. Even if the waits are long, he will give you attention you deserve.
The receptionists are nice. It’s too bad you can’t phone in and put your name onthe wait list, but this is the issue with all clinics in Canada.

Don’t come here — the wait is 2.5 hour long and they tell you it is 30 minutes and the doctor gets in very late… super super long line ups… Don’t come here… Go to superstore walk in clinics instead!

Had a good experience here. The receptionists are good at dealing with the hoards of people who all want to be seen at the same time (especially on xmas eve) but one of the girls was a bit cold which was a shame. She didn’t seem to know how to smile… apart from that, no problemo.

I’v been going to Brentwod clinic for years. There is always a minimum of 30 minute wait which is ridiculous compared to the new one i found on dawson.

It’s Canada. It’s a medical clinic. So YES, duh, you will have to wait at least 15 –60 min to talk to a doctor. If you have ever been to the ER department of any hospital, then a 30 minute wait at a walk-​in clinic is awesome.
This clinic is really good. I think the wait times are longer in the late afternoon and in the evening, but I see Dr. Terrence Ho in the mornings, and he was very efficient and able to diagnose what was wrong very quickly.
Remember, if you want to optimize your time in a clinic, be sure to make a list of any symptoms you have and let the doctor know all the facts surrounding your illness/​injury/​whatever. Don’t make a novel out of your situation:-)

They are open on Saturday/​Sundays. They have long walk-​in hours (entire day) and they accept new patients!
The wait time was long as it was very busy but they allow you to walk around the mall until it’s your time to see the doctor.

This is a great clinic! Both the MOA’s & Medical Doctors are very quick & efficient!
The front desk MOA (Yashmin) is especially friendly & helpful!
Dr. Sakian is one of the best MD’s I’ve been to in a long time. He is very caring & extremely thorough! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great Primary Care Physician in North Burnaby!
They also take walk-in’s as well as appointments which is great!

I’ve been here twice now. First time was around 6pm, second in the morning. Both times for medical forms filling out. Very efficient desk staff and the waiting times were excellent. The clinic is very clean and I was in and out both times within half and hour. Really good experience. I would use again.

I stopped in here on my lunch break and they were super quick! Gotta love a walk in clinic that can get you in and back out the door and back to work within an hour!
The doctor was helpful although a little quick but I come to expect this from clinics.
My only issue with this place was the floors were quite dirty, there was hair, dust and staples on the floor both in the lobby. It was only half way through the day so they obviously don’t sweep and mop daily as they should!
