Nixon Automotive

I’ve used Nixon for my BMW several times. I think four or five times total. Some of those visits were for general preventative maintenance and some were for repairs.
Since my BMW is long out of warranty I was looking for a place that knew as much (or more) as the dealer about my car, but at a more reasonable price. What I’ve found is that for a straight oil and filter change there isn’t much difference from a dealer. However for maintenance inspections and repair jobs you will save some money for sure. Their part prices might seem a bit high, but when you get the total repair bill you will be glad you didn’t go to a dealer.
I’ve dealt with both guys at the front counter and they are friendly enough, as well as professional and straightforward.

I would like thank Ryan and the team at Nixon Auto. They are a very professional and effective place to take your BMW. They helped with my 850i which required extensive troubleshooting for a very difficult and elusive problem. Ryan was more than fair with me in regards to what I was charged for the lengthy time involved in troubleshooting. You can have full confidence in their competency and fairness. I would highly recommend them.

My warranty company had referred me to Nixon Automotive. Sadly enough there weren’t a lot of helpful reviews for this company; however, I still decided to proceed with them, considering the fact they are a certified BMW repair shop!
I had my BMW X5 towed into their shop because it wasn’t driveable. My SUV’s starter needed to be replaced, key fobs’ sensor (s) needed to be fixed, overall my car had a lot of electrical issues. Chris from Nixon’s was the one dealing with my car.
The total cost for repairs, diagnostic tests, and re-​programming, and installation of the parts would have perhaps been quite expensive if I had taken it to a Certified BMW Dealership. Chris had given me a quote for about $ 600.00 after completing the diagnostic test; BUT after all the repairs were complete I was only charged $ 275. Thank you very much Chris and the rest of the service department team for being so helpful and informative.
Needless to say I am so happy with the results and to have saved a lot of money and I will definitely continue having my car serviced through Nixon Automotive.

I took my car to this place to save a little bit as I heard they are good and cheaper than BMW authorized repair workshop, 2 times together.
On time I ended up to pay $ 1800 and the other time I just needed to change my pads but paid $ 1200 eventually! and told that there is an oil leakage problem which cost me very soon another $ 900 and they already changed the oil and charged me $ 150. Besides eventually I didn’t get original parts on my car (break pads and discs) while I paid for «originals».
I fixed the oil leaking problem later somewhere else perfectly by $ 300 (including new oil change) and found out so far, in my two visits I paid them $ 1500 more than I had to! (They charged me $ 3,000 in 2 visits) I
My Conclusion: If your BMW is an older one and you want to save some money take it to one of the auto repair in the city, search the web you’ll find quite a few good ones,
otherwise take it to BMW authorized auto repair and be sure you wouldn’t spend more than this place.
I didn’t find these people fair and I don’t recommend them at all.

I have had my 325 at their shop twice so far. Once for an inspection again for a new fuel pump. Nice guys at the front who take the time to explain everything to you. Shop rate is significantly lower than at the dealership.

I have been taking my E34 to Ryan and Mike at Nixon automotive for the past 4 years. They are fair, professional, caring and very good at their job. If you have a bimmer, I highly recommend you check them out. On my last visit there, they solved a long going electrical issue that had been intermittent and a pain as it kept blowing my lights, wipers fuses. Med, Jun2011
