Norburn Lighting & Bath Centre

I have spent $ 5000 at this store and I still feel like I’m not wanted there every time I walk in. It’s unfortunate because they carry good products but the management, reception and some of the sales reps are so rude. Don’t know where they think they are working to have such attitudes.

I agree with C.T. I would give this place 0 stars if Unilocal allowed me. We walked in to the store and look around for ten mins. Not one sales person approached us. It seems everyone was busy typing «something» on their computer. They have workstations scattered all over the main floor but not one single person approached us. It was also my husband who said «hello, we need some assistance“‘, the sales associate seemed annoyed that we even approached him. To get a quote, it will take you two weeks — yes two weeks to received it. They need to step up their game if they want business. Therefore, we end up going to Warehouse Lighting in Richmond. What a breeze, they are busy BUT they have sales associate galore. Customer service is their main priority plus they have 4x the selection and way cheaper than Norburn lighting. If you are serious about your lighting needs, go to Warehouse lighting in Richmond. Plus, Home Depot is just across the street as well if you need more cheap lighting accessories– switches, wiring, etc.

I would give this place 0 stars if Unilocal allowed me. We walked in a Wednesday morning — the place was empty. We went there with our 21-​month old son, so it wasn’t like we could go unnoticed. Once we walked in the door, we saw 2 employees at the counter, another 1 at another desk, and at least another 3 – 4 walking around the store attending to whatever business they were attending to. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM even acknowledged our existence. No «Hello», «Good afternoon», not even a smile. My husband actually had to say «Hello» to THEM, and he barely got a nod back.
We looked at their bathroom vanity lights for a solid 20 minutes, and not a single person approached us to ask if we needed help. They didn’t have the best selection either. Just 1 back wall of lights, around $ 200 – 400 range. Oh, the staff was too busy talking amongst themselves about what happened on last night’s episode of Master Chef to bother with us.
We walked out without getting a «Have a good day» or «Thank you» and vowed never to return. There are plenty of other lighting stores in Vancouver. Go somewhere where they actually acknowledge you and treat you as a potential customer.

I just needed lightbulbs for the pesky track lighting fixture in my kitchen. It rejected previous, cut-​rate bulbs, so I thought I’d better go someplace where they know about these things. We were really impressed with how quickly the salesperson came to greet us and how she was able to get some bulbs right away — warning us, though, that the halogen bulbs weren’t particularly cheap.
While in the store, I was dazzled by all the light fixtures, and mentally redecorating my apartment in Tiffany shades and elegant floor lamps and sparkly disco balls (though not all in the same scheme, you understand). I think that when I do actually get to blow some dough on proper lighting, I’ll give Norburn a go.
