If you’re near SFU it is a great Apple place to check out

If you’re a student, you can take advantage of some really great deals on computer hardware and software. For example, Adobe Creative Suite software that normally goes for a couple thousand dollars can be had in a student-priced version for a couple hundred dollars. If you’re an SFU student, or registered at one of the Lower Mainland’s public colleges, you can qualify for these kinds of deals at the SFU Microstore. They carry, or can order for you, Apples, iPods, and Dell PCs, accessories, flash drives, and student-licensed software from Adobe and Microsoft. You’ll need to show valid student ID to be able to buy the special priced stuff. Also, you can only buy one copy. The store is run by students and grads in the SFU Computer Science programs, so they’re scary-smart about what they sell. Special orders are welcomed and they can do repairs as well. Given the location at the Burnaby Mountain campus of SFU, however, it’s probably worth giving them a call to find out if they give the discounts to students at your school before making the trek up here.
