Formerly known(in Canada) as Radio Shack, I do have a love-hate relationship with this chain. Parking is available all over the place in the mall. So why do I like this place? 1) Some things are cheap. As in «cheaper than Amazon USA» cheap. For example, I picked up a router for $ 70 that I couldn’t find below $ 100 elsewhere. Another good example are laptop bags. They cost $ 15 here, while the exact same bag costs $ 40 at Future Shop. 2) There are locations everywhere, and I can pick up miscellaneous electronic bits when needed for a decent price. So why is this place bad? 1) Pushy sales staff. I really don’t need that extended warranty, thank you very much 2) Some of their stuff are ridiculously expensive as well. As in «twice as much as Amazon USA» expensive. So yes, do your homework. 3) Their selection is a bit lacking. But you can’t fault them. They are not a dedicated supplier. 4) Ignorant staff. When I am asking about the electronics, I can read the stuff on the box by myself. Regurgitating the information doesn’t answer my question. Oh yeah, some of their goods are opened, and you might be missing a CD or manual. No biggie if you can download it, but just a heads up if you are anal-retentive about this kind of stuff. Bottom line: come here for the savings, but not for detailed product knowledge.

I never really come to this one, unless the stock locator on their own website tells me that they have stock of a certain item, and usually they do. Located on the side of the mall that is usually quiet(or in my terms ‘DEAD’) this one always seems gloomy to go in. The lighting is not up to par, as it feels like a dark dungeon at times. It’s big, but only if you need something, and luckily enough they usually have it in stock, you come here. Most of the time upon entering it does scare you that there are more workers in here than clientele.
