V & G Music have been providing live music for weddings, anniversaries, and other special events for over 10 years. They have a wide range of professional musicians on their roster and can arrange any size group and instrumentation you desire on your special day.

History

Established in 2001.

V & G Music began as a husband/​wife acoustic duo but quickly grew to include a talented roster of professional musicians that cater the perfect musical ensemble to each and every event, These ensembles include classical string quartets, jazz trios, cover/​dance bands, pianists, harpists, bagpipers and Violin & Guitar just to name a few.

Stephen B.

Business Owner

Stephen has been active in the Vancouver theatre and music scene for over 20 years. Theatre companies he has worked for include The Arts Club Theatre, Bard on the Beach, The Vancouver Playhouse Theatre, Pacific Theatre, Shameless Hussy Productions and Hoarse Raven Theatre. Stephen has worked as a producer, composer, sound designer, lighting designer, technician, musical director and musician. He has musically directed such shows as «The Rocky Horror Show», «West Side Story» and the Vancouver première of «Hedwig & The Angry Inch». As a sound engineer and music producer, Stephen has recorded a diverse range of ensembles including «Realtime A Cappella Quartet», «The Melodious Mandolins» and «The Vancouver Cast Recording of The Rocky Horror Show». He has also composed and written original music for various documentaries and films, including the feature films Bar None & Sub Human.

The duo and quartet definitely made the couple’s wedding day extra special. The sound was fantastic, the music was classy and the musicians were professional, fun, and flexible. We had to make a few announcements throughout the afternoon and evening and the way they could ‘fade in’ and ‘fade out’ without really missing a beat was amazing! I enjoyed working with them and look forward to our next event together!
From the Bride & Groom:
I wanted to send a big thank you to the four musicians who played at our wedding on 2⁄27. The music was perfect, and many of our guests remarked on how much they enjoyed the music and how skilled the musicians were. We had many young children at the wedding and they all enjoyed dancing and interacting with the musicians.
We were discussing that it must be hard to be a musician at weddings as you kind of play in the background and don’t really get shows of gratitude. However, I want all the musicians to be sure that they were very much admired and appreciated and they helped to make our wedding day incredibly special.

We hired V&G music to play our summer wedding. They met with us, were immensely helpful in helping choose our wedding music and even sent a confirmation e-​mail the week of our wedding to double-​check all the details again. They even were able to find a rare Beatles’ song which he was able to get the sheet music for! On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and were set up and ready to play way ahead of time. They played magnificently and we got numerous comments from our wedding guests about how professional the music was. Will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

We really enjoyed having V & G music play at our wedding ceremony last week-​end. The sound was clear and at the perfect level. The music added a lot of class to our ceremony. The musicians were friendly and punctual. They also provided music during the cocktail hour on the lawn.
Stephen Bulat is extremely pleasant to deal with. I communicated with him via e-​mail only and he always responded to my e-​mails in a timely manner. He also contacted me via e-​mail one week prior to the ceremony to verify all the information. He is very organized and professional!
Overall, V & Music is a very reliable service for music at your wedding ceremony!

I’ve had the pleasure of attending a couple of parties with live music by V&G. As a music aficionado myself I can tell you, they are great players, never out of pitch and their repertoire is simply amazing.
