Service. Something very lacking in Vancouver. No surprises here either. I bought a phone based on the knowledge of the employees here. Being very tech savvy, I realized when I got it home that most of the things they told me about it were untrue or incorrect. They up sold me a phone that didn’t do what I want just to make the sale. When I couldn’t get back to return the phone in the minimal time frame allowed and with the ridiculously low amount quota of minutes used.(All of which were used already talking to Virgin trying to sort this out), the general answer was«There’s nothing we can do sir» You can call outsourced customer service and complain. Even if I could take the phone back in time, the best they would do is exchange it for another phone I can’t use, and they flat out refuse to simply give me my money back and return the contract to its original state. How is that even legal? After wasting far more of my time and money than should have been necessary, they eventually conceded to wave the time limit, but not the limit on minutes that I have already gone over talking to VIrgin so what is the point of waving the return time limit, if you won’t let me return based on minutes? I am now left with a number to call for customer service, and a phone that I can’t use. Just a note to employees out there. LEARNWHATYOUARESELLING! Just another day of terrible service in this area. Extremely dissatisfied.

You can get phone cards pretty much anywhere but it’s the customer service that really counts in 2010. Usually, I get a disinterested sales clerk who can barely scan your debit card and give you the code without even a grunt. With Jesse Keenan, this is not the case. I will go out of my way and go to this kiosk and buy the phone card from him. I could easily get this at my local grocery store when doing the weekly shopping but I don’t because I won’t get the top of the line customer service he clearly excels at. Jesse is eager, goes out of his way, offers to put the actual code on the phone; what more could you ask for. He interacts well with his customers and gives them his undivided attention, something clearly lacking in the customer/clerk exchange. It might be a simple thing but it means a lot now-a-days. 5 stars for Virgin Kiosk sales clerk Jesse!
