History

Established in 1983.

AE Security had its beginnings in the City of Calgary in 1983. Starting out as a small, family owned enterprise, emphasis was placed on making the company little different by focusing on a philosophy of quality customer care before growth. This simple approach is reflected in our motto «Large enough to serve you, small enough to know you!» Of course we have grown since then but the philosophy is still as relevant today as it was in 1983.

Today, AE Security is owned and operated by the Larkam family with the addition of Elisha Walsh and Chris Rubak as shareholders. We still manage all of our accounts with trained, competent company staff and offer personalized service for consultation, design and installation of residential and commercial security, video surveillance and access control systems.

AE Security is Calgary’s leading First Alert Professional/Honeywell Authorized dealer featuring leading edge technology and factory trained technicians for your peace of mind.

Meet the Business Owner

Randy L.

Business Owner

Randy is the President of AE Security. He started the business in 1983 because of his keen interest in electronics and safety. He has learned many lessons over the years including that customers provide your advertising, make step by step progress, and to spend quality time with family and friends.

His hobbies are spending time at the cabin with friends and family. Randy is an avid slalom skier and takes every opportunity he can to do so, including at Christmas when the lake hasn’t frozen over, in a dry suit.
