Here at The Alberta Academy of Recording our goal is to educate students from all walks of life, and all levels of experience. Our intensive 12 — week course will start at the basics of sound, and studio etiquette and lead up to student driven, client based recording, mixing, mastering, and live sound sessions. Each student will graduate with a professionally mastered demo reel showcasing his or her achievements upon successful completion of the course.

From beginners to the advanced our all — inclusive course will provide you with a strong technical base, as well as the ability to perfect your skills for a successful career in the entertainment/​music industry.

With classes taking place in a fully functioning recording studio and video production house, and being taught by the studios own Engineer and Studio Manager, there is no shortage of real world experience, and volunteer opportunities available. We also offer on — going support for all of our students.

History

Established in 2011.

The Alberta Academy of Recording will be opening its doors to our first students in January 2012. AAR is taught out of Alchemy Studios Inc — one of the top recording studios and production houses in Calgary.

Meet the Manager

Jessica C.

Manager

Jessica has been working professionally within the Music/​Entertainment Industry for the last 5 years, and in that time has worked with many bands on the local, national, and international level. An Engineer and Producer by trade Jess has worked with all genres, and in multiple formats, including radio, film, and both independent and commercial music projects. The total package, Jess has filled almost every roll within the industry and has an unparalleled passion for music and entertainment. She is our head instructor & course administrator at the Alberta Academy of Recording.
