Established in 1954.

Residential, commercial and industrial projects — 61 years of building success

1954: Builder and Contractor, Dietrich Krause, having moved from Europe and purchased a lot in Vancouver to build a home for his young family. Three generations and hundreds of projects later, the Krause family is now in its 61^st year in the Canadian construction industry.

2010: The Krause family acquired Mold Squad Corporation: a successful Calgary-​based mold remediation and building envelope restoration service company (est. 1995). Mold Squad is now a division of Building Works Ltd.

Today: Building Works Ltd. continues to serve and expand within the Alberta market, and excels by incorporating the best practices and techniques, using the most appropriate materials, and by employing highly skilled workers in all divisions to ensure a job well done, every time.

Meet the Business Owner

Erich K.

Business Owner

Prior to establishing Building Works Ltd., Erich worked as an independent Project Manager providing development and construction management services to large-​scale builders and developers for over 35 years. His initial training and work ethic came from his father who was a successful builder in Vancouver. Erich began his building career with single family homes, but quickly moved on to apartment buildings, townhouse projects and commercial and institutional buildings. With many years of experience and extensive training in Building Codes and construction techniques, Erich’s expertise has been sought by many top builders and developers.
