As another person pointed out, I almost don’t want to review this place because I’d rather it’d stay a hidden gem in the NE. But alas, this place is just too good for something to be left unsaid. Chelsea’s is a dive bar at its peak. Daily food and drink specials, darts, a pool table, tons of booths, and slot machines make this a great place to hang out any night of the week. The staff are friendly and pour drinks well. There are also numerous televisions and as such, you can watch just about any game you want. I uploaded a picture of the weekly specials, so check it out. Every day is something different(with the exception that wings are $ 0.25 on Sunday AND Wednesday, but totally forgivable). The food is tasty, well made and reasonably priced. Plus whatever garlic butter concoction they use on bread is absolutely phenomenal. This is definitely the sort of bar that you can easily become a regular at. As I said the bartenders are super friendly, and the space just lends itself to order a beer(or two or three) and chilling for the rest of your night. the only reason I gave it a 4=star rating and not 5 is because I found the beer and alcohol selection a little limited.

For those sport enthusiast Unilocalers, specifically those who play in leagues, are you not tired of the terrible sponsor bars, that are all«irish» pubs and their team specials means Kokanee Gold is cheap? Well, me too! I discovered Chelseas with my soccer team as we are often scheduled on fields in Dover and Temple. Now let me say, If I lived in the NE, I would be here every day. All you need to know. $ 1 burgers on Tuesdays. 1 cent ribs on Wednesdays. The bartender, Maurizio, is so friendly and attentive, and he is also a ninja. I mean, actually a NINJA(I’ve seen his ninja license). He also has samurai training, so he is a pretty cool dude so don’t piss him off or you will be dead. It’s clean in here, though dark, with the kinda of shady VLT players and alcoholics making up the«crowd», but I love these guys, they give it character! Since I have only been here on a Tuesday, I can’t speak to the crowds on weekends, but Chelseas is a great time, always space for team of 12 to find a seat and you aren’t waiting 20 minutes for a surly girl in a short skirt to serve you an overpriced beer.

I almost don’t want to review this place, because it’s been our«little secret» for so long! Yes, the location is not ideal, the outside is a little sketch, and the décor is not winning any awards… BUT, the food is fantastic!!! It’s pub grub style(burgers, wings, pasta etc.), and everything we’ve had is delicious. Even the coleslaw that comes with the fish and chips is good! Really! 1 cent ribs, $ 1 burger night and the best $ 6 steak sandwich I’ve ever had… If you’re in the ‘hood, make sure you check it out!
