Christine Klassen Gallery /CKG is a commercial gallery showcasing a wide survey of contemporary art including: painting, drawing, photography and sculpture. We represent 35 artists at various stages of their creative careers, from Canada, the U.S. and abroad, united by their craft-intensive approach to art-making. We strive to stimulate gallery visitors through innovative projects and exhibitions, which we rotate approximately every 6 weeks.
The CKG Frame Shop is run by master framer, Candace Larsen, whose creative eye and acute attention to detail have been carefully honed with over 23 years of experience. We specialize in custom framing and mirrors, as well as multimedia art restoration and cleaning, whether it’s for exhibition or your home.
Our aim is to provide access to world-class contemporary art and artists in a friendly and welcoming environment.
History
Established in 2007.
In February 2014, CKG relocated to a 4600 square foot mid-century warehouse space in the Manchester Industrial area just off Macleod Trail, and is now one of Calgary’s largest commercial gallery spaces.
