History

Established in 1982.

Colman Orthotics was founded in 1982 by Arthur Colman, who wanted to use his medical background to help people in a unique way. Arthur was soon joined by Ron Handkamer and John Sowerbutts, adding prosthetics to the firm’s offering. Colman Prosthetics & Orthotics has grown steadily since 1982, and now boasts 19 employees including several of Canada’s best orthotics and prosthetics specialists.
