Crate & Barrel’s customer service is the best!
We purchased some counter stools from them 2 months ago, along with their parsons dining table with concrete top. We love everything, but we’ve been having a difficult time finding dining chairs that work with the table and our kitchen. Turns out, the dining chairs in the same style as the counter stools we purchased look FABULOUS with our table! The only problem is that our counter is too close to our table to have both the chairs and stools be of the same style. (especially when they are wire mesh)
I called to see if they would accept a return of the stools in place for 6 dining chairs and they said ‘no problem’! (even though we are over the 30 day return policy)
Furniture can be really tricky to purchase, as it takes some time to see if a piece works in your home. I will certainly be back to Crate & Barrel again and again, with this level of service!

Crate and Barrel seriously makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. It’s one of those places where I rarely walk out empty-​handed and I always feel like I could do some serious damage if I had unlimited funds.
I love baking and cooking so wandering through the kitchen gadgets section is a virtual treasure-​trove for me. I always discover something new here. It reminds me of the Little Mermaid: «gadgets and gizmos a plenty… whozits and whatzits galore!» Besides all the little trinkets, they also carry higher-​end blenders, mixers, coffee makers, and other counter-​top appliances.
Truth be told, sometimes I get so wrapped up in the kitchen things that I forget Crate and Barrel sells furniture. It probably doesn’t help that most of it is out of my budget. It’s too bad really because some of it is really nice.
The staff at this location are obviously really well trained. They’re helpful but not too aggressive about it. Overall I really love this store. Calgary is really lucky to have it.

I have visited Crate & Barrel a few times since they opened in the Southcentre Mall. WOW! They have such beautiful things… from funky bedding and neat kitchen gadgets to gorgeous furniture and pretty decorations. My husband bought a block of Shun knives from Crate & Barrel for Christmas. There was a problem with one of the blades. They replaced the entire block, no questions asked. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy or annoying. I love wandering around the store dreaming of all the ways I could redecorate my home! Wonderful store and great staff. A nice change from some of the other furniture/​houseware shops in town!

I hadn’t visited a Crate and Barrel store since my days in the States and quite frankly, I was starting to go through withdrawal. Imagine my excitement as I stumbled upon this store during my visit at Southcentre mall.
First things first — I cannot believe how HUGE this store is considering it is INSIDE of a mall. It’s GIGANTIC and it’s got all the goods and all the glory of a free-​standing Crate & Barrel store.
Although the goods here are quite pricey, they are all crème de la crème and it’s the kind of place you’d shop at after you’ve purchased your dream home.
The best way I can describe Crate and Barrel is ‘Williams-​Sonoma’ meets ‘Pier 1 Imports’. They’ve got the greatest kitchen ware, but they’ve also got entertaining accessories, furniture, bedding and glassware.
Crate & Barrel is a mammoth of a store and it somehow beckons my name every single time I am in its vicinity. It’s pretty much a guarantee that when I buy that mansion I dream of, I’ll be furnishing it with everything Crate & Barrel.
