Dr Hitchcock is my homegirll. Haha, I think she might kill me for saying that, but as she essentially birthed me (she’s an obstetrician too!), I’m sure I’ll be alright. She is the perfect mix of doctor: she knows all of her patients and cares about their lives, gives them the time they need to explain their problems and to give them weight but she is also totally willing to tell you when it’s nothing too.
She does run a little late sometimes, but it is usually due to an emergency or a visit to the hospital. The staff is very caring too, and she shares the practice with another doctor. She’ll refer you if you need a specialist, and she’ll always find the most sensible solution. She tells it like it is. For as long as I stay in Calgary, she will be my family doctor.
The catch is: she’s so great that she has not been taking new patients for some time. But you can always try!
