Diabetes Hypertension & Cholesterol Centre

As a living donor, I have had to come here to be set up for a 24 hour blood pressure test a few times in the last year and a half. Each time, I am impressed with how quickly I get an appointment after the referral from the living donor program (usually same week) and how flexible they are on times available which isn’t always the case for speciality services. The staff are all very friendly and get you in and out of there as quickly as possible. They don’t over explain stuff if you already know it (so nice!) and they are great with questions. There is a ton of literature and things to look at too (posters etc) to educate people about blood pressure and how to stay healthy.
Location wise it is great-​at the old Children’s hospital on Richmond Rd so it is pretty centrally located. It is a very clean and bright facility that almost doesn’t feel like a hospital or medical centre — more like a school actually. Regardless of appointment time there is always a ton of available parking in the main lot and they have underground parking as well.
In a perfect world, you’ll never need to come here. But if you do, it’s one of the better medical experiences you’ll have in Calgary.
