Firoz

This is definately the alternative to Holts. And it’s much much better with selection, service and style.
They carry some exclusive brands, and sometimes have killer sales. 35−50% off Alice + Olivia? I’m all over it.
I’ve seen some sample sale events here too. Small space but packed with quality items. Not sure how much rotation their inventory gets, but I will have to update this later.

This is a beautiful store on 17^th Ave, it is elegant and spacious and many times I have passed feeling that things there were out of my budget range. Today I entered and was greeted so warmly I thought I should really look around.
And look around I did, Firoz is one of only two Canadian locations, the other being in Edmonton. It is one of the nicest boutiques I have seen in Calgary, the staff here are incredibly courteous and genuine and Victoria the manager there shared the uniqueness of Firoz that you won’t find in other stores in Calgary.
Reason one and in two words, Alexander Mcqueen, Firoz is exclusive to this amazing designer, I couldn’t believe I was holding an AM shirt in my hands. And the prices, $ 285 for a pair of AM jeans is unheard of; this would easily go for 4 times as much in any store in New York City or Paris.
Reason two and again in two words, Diesel Denim, Firoz again strikes up points for being only 1 of 5 locations in the world to feature Diesel Denim. The list goes on, Nicole Millar, Sophia Kokosolaski, and soon to be Vivienne Westwood.
The store is decorated in dark tones and everything is luxurious and made with the most delicious fabrics. Presently, are very nice winter jackets from Italy for only $ 99 and the very popular Ugg winter boot from Australia is now 30% off. They have men’s and women’s wear and sizes for women go up to size 12.
For any of you serious diehard fashionistas out there, who want hard to find exclusive items, this should be the the first place you visit.
