History

Established in 2006.

Flamingo Music started as an independent music studio in a home and has expanded to a large, new studio space with multiple teachers assisting students achieve their musical aspirations.

Meet the Business Owner

Challena Z.

Business Owner

Challena has been teaching music professionally for close to a decade. Proficient in Piano, Theory, Flute, Clarinet, Guitar and Bass, she has worked with children as young as 2 in a musical environment. Certified as an Elementary Specialist in Piano through the Royal Consevatory, she continues to upgrade, study, and explore new opportunities in education and music. Challena has previously played in two smaller community orchestras in her hometown of Kamloops, as well as led Creative Kids music classes, and volunteer run group classes for community agencies. Several of her students have become accompanists, performers, or teacher while attending Senior High and University. Challena also has experience working with special needs children and ESL or non English speaking students.
