Fritou Chicken and Pizza

Go here if you want to be insulted. The owner is extremely rude and disrespectful! We went there with a Buy 1 Get 1 free pizza coupon which he refused to accept and threw us out of the line. And then spent 15 minutes trying to make us look like fools! And then they gave us the wrong pizza because the cashier got the order wrong! They need to get customer service training and learn some manners. Avoid at all costs. There are much better fried chicken and pizza places out there.

Wish I could give it 5 stars but the sides are limited and dismal. Four stars on the chicken alone! Big, juicy pieces with perfectly seasoned and crispy skin. Loved it!
So happy to have a decent fried chicken joint close to home. I usually drive downtown to go to my favourite place (Olive Chicken), but will happily go here when I need a quick fix.
I guess I’ll just have to figure out something myself to eat with the chicken. Need to find a place with biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac n’ cheese, and a decent slaw to round out this meal.

I ordered the 12pc chicken meal. Nice fast chicken and taste good too. Way better than KFC. 4 stars

A good place to eat fried chicken. Specially their hot sauce is awesome and all my family loves it. Rest of food is just ok.

The meat is halal, which means the animals are slaughtered in the most ethical way possible in line with Islamic practices.
The fried chicken was moist and tasty and the pieces were big sizes. Not too salty like other fried chicken joints.
The service was great!
$ 36.00 with tax for 12 pieces of chicken, gravy, fries and coleslaw. $ 7.00 for popcorn chicken.
I recommend this restaurant.

There chicken, fries and gravy are the best and my husband can’t get enough off the hot sauce you get with it. Their pizza is just okay, lacking flavour and not anything great but its our favourite fried chicken place by far!

It’s chicken. It’s fried. And it’s halal.
That last one is what would make someone make the trip to far reaches of NE Calgary rather than head to the nearest KFC.
The chicken is tasty as many things are when deep fried. The fries are mediocre and overly oily leading me to worry if the bag will soak through on the drive home. Take a pass on the gravy — cold, bland and looks as if it came straight from a can. The coleslaw is surprisingly good, it tastes relatively fresh and crisp without being overly moist as most coleslaw is. The best item on the menu, and the one I would drive there for, is the hot sauce. I have no idea what they put in their hot sauce however it is fantastic. Spicy without being too hot, the flavour adds a needed zing to the chicken. A hot sauce or two is included with your meal however spend the extra $ 0.50 and grab more, You can never have enough spice in your life.
All that said there is one thing to be concerned with. This meal won’t come cheap. Prices are comparable to KFC so while an occasional Fritou chicken is a good thing, eating here repeatedly will take a toll on your wallet.
