My boss flew in late at night and called the hotel for the shuttle to pick him up. The shuttle took him to the other Hampton Inn hotel instead. He went ahead and stayed at that hotel. When I called to change reservations for another person to stay where my boss is at I complained about the shuttle taking him to the wrong hotel and the receptionist was very rude and made comments she should not have said. When I called asked to talk to the manager she raised her voice at me telling me the manager was not in and I can call back and then hung up. This hotel does not rate to have any stars for the rudeness of this woman working the front desk and phones.

I think the true mark of a business is how they handle customer’s needs. We needed to cancel our reservation the day of and they could have charged us. Instead they were so friendly and professional. The not only let us cancel they offered us help. I will make a point of using Hampton hotels the next chance I get. Thanks!

O’range you glad you tried the Hampton Inn & Suites? Well, it was probably better than the available rating system, but there is always room for improvement. The lightening within the room was a bit too harsh and the shower pressure could have been stronger. That being said, the bed sheets were excellent with a strong thread count and overall comfort. Even the bed was quite comfortable and had few lumps and bumps. The room was clean overall, albeit a fairly basic style. Nice to see a relatively high quality HDTV and a plethora of channels. The free breakfast was solid for a range of tastes. The location to the airport was good and there was mention of a high quality shuttle service that was available to customers. The front desk check-in was smooth and without issue. This is a quick, business traveler hotel who desires a lower frills concept. Enjoy Calgary!

Clean, good value, complimentary breakfast, coffee/tea station, fresh fruit and shuttle to the airport. Distance to the airport is 15 – 20 mins by car and downtown is about 25 mins or so. The hotel is located near a Burger King and Chilis. Service is friendly and professional. The breakfast has quite the variety — fresh fruit, make your own waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, muffins/pastries, juice and coffee/tea. Also, if you need to leave the hotel before the breakfast area opens, they offer«to go» meals in a brown bag(see pic). It includes a bottle of water, apple, granola bar, blueberry muffin and mints; quite the lovely breakfast and snack bag! Room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Good counterspace in the bathroom though toilet clearance to the door is a bit tight which makes the bathroom feel small. Good water pressure in the shower. I didn’t love the very«fluorescenty» feel of the room… made it feel cheap. Warmer lighting would make the place cozy and heighten the feel of the place. Hallway was roasting hot in mid october… it was probably 28 degrees in the hallway for some strange reason but at least the room temp was good.

Professional check in, staff very accommodating and friendly. Room suite was very clean, with good TV service(flatscreens), comfortable bed, plenty of bathroom area and towels. Nice to have kitchenette. Good place to stay with children. Complimentary breakfast was fine, but coffee could have been fresher and hotter. Swimming pool area was clean with water a decent temperature. All in all, very good value and much better than more expensive hotel stays in downtown Calgary.

Usual Hampton quality: continental breakfast, fresh duvets, etc… Nothing wrong with it, clean and normal.

I really enjoy coming to this Hampton Inn. The place is clean and consistent. I have come to know a couple of the front desk staff names and are pleased to see them upon my return. The rooms are nice and clean. During my latest stay, I moved the TV to put my bag on and there was some dust and grime that I wiped up but when I did my bed bug inspection the bed/mattress was very clean. The bathroom had lots of water pressure for both the sink and shower. To add to the experience this hotel provides the guest with a complimentary chocolate bar, bag of chips and bottled water. The only reason I didn’t give a 5⁄5 is their prices have recently increased to about $ 20 more than the Holiday Inn Express down the street which is similar in experience and value.

If you frequently stay at hampton inn then you’ll be just fine here. It’s clean and seems to be pretty new. Stayed here my last night of the Calgary Stampede because I had a 9am flight back to New York and didn’t want to catch a cab super early from the City Centre. It worked out great especially because they offer free shuttle service to Calgary International. You get all the usual stuff like free breakfast, internet, pool and business center. This location it’s a bit out of the way from downtown Calgary. If you have a rental car, you can make it work but don’t expect to get drinks downtown and drive back. There’s a chili’s across the parking lot but it’s not open late, so if you need food and drink you’re going to have to drive.
