This place is TERRIBLE and I feel for the 2 different technicians I’ve had because they seemed nice. My experience was similar to another review — previous laser hair removal and wanted to do new body parts and finish previous. 2 sessions with no results at all. I even asked them to turn up the laser because it was basically blowing hot air and you should feel a bit of a sting. After my first 2 sessions, I was sent an email cancelling my next 2, with no reason cited, and now you can not book at all. They have no phone number listed on their website and the link they had previously for booking laser removal sessions is gone. I had «unlimited for 1 year» and it seems they are not honouring this at all. TOTAL SCAM!!! Zeneba/​Kootenay Medi Spa are complete crooks.

I cannot warn people strongly enough — do NOT pay in advance for any packages from this company, which also goes by the names of Rivage and Zeneba. They offered 1 year of unlimited laser hair removal for $ 200 through Dealfind, then contacted everyone who purchased the package to advise they would not honour it. They advised clients to contact Dealfind directly for a full refund — I did so, and was surprised my request was honoured. Then, Kootenay Medi Spa offered the same prepaid deal if paid in cash directly to them. I should have spotted this red flag, but re-​purchased anyway. I went for 2 appointments only to be told that Kootenay has been sold, and the new company will not honour any outstanding packages. I was told to contact Zeneba directly, which I did a week ago. I have received no reply. As far as I’m concerned, they owe me $ 160. I will be very careful to ensure I never deal with any of these companies, or their parent company Zeneba.

I’ve had a full 6 course laser hair removal from another clinic and against advice (because they are Zeneba which is nutroious for bad business practice) I purchased another package here to do the last couple touch ups on my already lasered spots. My first two sessions were unimpressive. Their laser setting is obviously low or not being used correctly. There was no additional hair loss in my first two sessions but I figured that would average out over my 12 months of sessions with them for less than a 7^th session at the other place.
Anyway I went in the other week and was told to pay another full package amount and seek a refund for the other one or be turned away. I just left because their story of why they stopped doing business with the people that sold my package was not believeable (again this is zeneba vs a company I have used a lot in the last 18 months with zero complaints about).
Apparently last week they didn’t staff at all and didn’t call to tell anyone. Really classy joint!
Laser hair removal is expensive… and I think I’ve accepted that if I want it done I’ll need to pay a fair price at a good location.

WARNING!!! This company is associated with Zeneba Academy. Please, please, I beg that you look up reviews under Zeneba before you decide to do business with them. Zeneba Academy is already offering deals using the company names Rivage Medi Spa, Rivage Institute of Esthetics or Pure Medi Spa.
At this time, Kootenay Medi Spa offers no phone number for customers to contact them. So far they have 3 listed locations– the addresses listed on their website are North Hill Mall, Sunridge Mall and Southcentre Mall.
It looks like Zeneba are sending their staff or students to perform treatments at salons in various places across Calgary. These businesses have been contacted, however they seem to be only be offering space for Kootenay Medi Spa to perform these treatments and are referring all calling customers back to Kootenay Medi Spa. Again, you cannot call Kootenay Medi Spa– the only option they leave you is to send them a message through their website.
Dealfind is currently offering a deal for this company for unlimited laser hair removal. In the forum to discuss the deal, Dealfind Admin have noted that this company is indeed owned by Zeneba.
